    • Shohei Ohtani leaves the yard in win over D’Backs
Shohei Ohtani clobbered his 27th home run of the season on Tuesday night as the Dodgers rallied to defeat the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ohtani led off the home half of the first inning with a double and scored the game’s first run on an RBI double off the bat of Teoscar Hernandez. He then flipped the game in the Dodgers’ favor with a mammoth 433-foot (112.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Justin Martinez in the seventh inning that made it a 4-3 ballgame. Ohtani finished the night 3-for-5 and is now slashing an absurd .320/.402/.646 with 27 homers, 64 RBI and 16 swipes. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago

    • Homer among three hits in win
Ohtani went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ohtani was a triple shy of the cycle in another impressive game from atop the order. Over his last 20 games, the superstar has slugged 12 homers and driven in 23 runs while batting .351 (26-for-74). He's been outstanding all year and seems to be getting better with his recent performance. Ohtani has a .320/.402/.646 slash line with 27 long balls, 64 RBI, 69 runs scored and 16 stolen bases through 83 contests. Rotowire.com 39 minutes ago

    • Homers, steals in win
Duran went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole second base in the second inning and hit a solo home run in the eighth. The outfielder continued his torrid stretch, hitting safely in 18 of his past 19 games and homering in three straight. On the season, he is hitting .287 with 10 home runs, 40 RBI, 58 runs scored and 21 steals in what has been one of the biggest breakouts of 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 8:30 pm
    • Alexis Díaz earns a save in win over Yankees
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in a 5-4 win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: Díaz has now converted 11 straight save chances and has pitched to a 1.98 ERA in 14 2/3 innings over that stretch. However, some of the early command issues remain as Díaz has a 13.2 percent walk rate over that same span. He may remain volatile given his subpar command and he doesn’t miss as many bats as your typical closer, but he remains locked into the closer’s role on a solid team and will continue to rack up saves. • Luis Gil’s struggles continue in loss
Luis Gil allowed four runs on two hits in four innings in a loss to the Reds on Tuesday.

Advice: The command simply wasn’t there for Gil on Tuesday, walking three and striking out three while throwing 83 pitches in just four innings. There has been some concern that Gil is hitting a bit of a wall after allowing 16 earned runs in his last 9 2/3 innings. The Yankees maintain confidence in the 26-year-old, but he left a lot of sliders up in the zone today and struggled to command his changeup, so perhaps he is getting a little tired in his breakout season. • Jarren Duran fillets Marlins with homer plus steal
Jarren Duran homered and also stole a base on Tuesday, leading the Red Sox to an 8-3 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole a base -- his 21st theft of the season -- in the second inning before walloping a gargantuan 433-foot blast to left field -- his 10th round-tripper of the season -- off Marlins reliever JT Chargois in the eighth inning. The 27-year-old speedster has put together arguably the most impressive first-half breakout performance of any player in the fantasy landscape, batting .287/.351/.497 with 43 extra-base hits, including 10 triples and 10 homers, in addition to 21 stolen bases. He’s rapidly evolving into a five-category fantasy superstar and rewarding fantasy managers that have exercised extreme patience over the last few years as he continued to develop at the highest level. • Hitting on field Tuesday
Realmuto (knee) participated in receiving drills and hit on the field ahead of Thursday's road game against the Cubs, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

Advice: The veteran catcher has recently been hitting in the batting cage but is now ready to hit on the field for the first time since undergoing meniscus surgery June 12. Realmuto still has significant work to do in his rehab program, but a return shortly after the All-Star break appears to be a reasonable target for his activation. Rotowire.com Today, 3:41 pm
    • J.D. Martinez scratched Tuesday with ankle soreness
J.D. Martinez was scratched from Tuesday’s lineup due to left ankle soreness.

Advice: It sounds like a precautionary move here by the Mets as they don’t want to take any chances with Brandon Nimmo (head) already sitting out due to injury. The 36-year-old veteran slugger will presumably be available to pinch-hit, if needed, during Tuesday’s contest against the Nationals. Rotoworld Today, 3:09 pm

    • Scratched with ankle soreness
Martinez was scratched from the Mets' lineup ahead of Tuesday's game versus Washington due to left ankle soreness, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The severity of Martinez's injury isn't immediately apparent, but it's enough of a nuisance to keep him from playing Tuesday. Luis Torrens will step into the lineup as New York's designated hitter and bat sixth while Martinez rests. Rotowire.com Today, 3:00 pm
