    • Jarred Kelenic collects three hits against Braves
Jarred Kelenic went 3-for-4 with a run scored against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

Advice: After slugging a homer in the first game of Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Cardinals, Kelenic collected three more hits in the second game. His base hit in the eighth inning drove in the only run of the game for Atlanta. The 24-year-old outfielder has performed well since taking over the leadoff spot. He’s slashing .279/.318/.457 with eight homers and three steals across 223 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 6:39 pm

    • Ryan Helsley locks down 28th save Wednesday
Ryan Helsley tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to earn the save in the second game of a doubleheader against the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Helsley was summoned to close it out in the ninth with a three-run lead against the Braves. He recorded the first out, then allowed two runners on with a single and a walk. A groundout put both runners in scoring position and brought the tying run to the plate with two outs. He Helsley struck out the final batter to end the game with his MLB-leading 28th save. • Matthew Liberatore strikes out eight vs. Braves
Matthew Liberatore tossed six shutout innings with eight strikeouts in a win over the Braves on Wednesday.

Advice: Starting the second game of Wednesday’s doubleheader, Liberatore was dominant against the Braves, keeping them scoreless over a season-high six innings. He scattered two hits and a walk, striking out a career-high eight batters on 14 swinging strikes. The 24-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 3.86 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and a 36/16 K/BB ratio across 44 1/3 innings. He’ll likely revert back to a swingman role if he hasn’t earned himself another start in the rotation. Rotoworld Today, 6:37 pm

    • Gavin Sheets leaves game with jammed left heel
Gavin Sheets was removed from Wednesday’s ballgame against the Dodgers due to a jammed left heel.

Advice: The severity of the injury — as well as how much time (if any) Sheets may miss — are not yet known. He’ll head for further evaluation and the White Sox should have an update on his status at some point before Thursday’s battle against the Braves. Rotoworld Today, 6:36 pm

Bryce Elder allowed two runs with four strikeouts across six innings in a loss against the Cardinals on Wednesday.

He settled in for three more scoreless frames, ending with a four strikeouts in a quality start. The 25-year-old right-hander holds a 5.76 ERA, 1.69 WHIP, and a 23/11 K/BB ratio across 29 2/3 innings. Rotoworld Today, 6:35 pm

    • Grayson Rodriguez goes seven strong in win
Grayson Rodriguez allowed two runs across seven innings in a 4-2 win over the Guardians. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: Rodriguez’s changeup was especially lethal in this one: dropping three inches more than his season average and forcing five swings and misses. He ended his day on a beautiful one low and out of the zone to Brayan Rocchio that got him through seven innings for the second time in three starts. It was also very encouraging to see him shake off a poor first few innings and get stronger as the game went on. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm

    • Craig Kimbrel earns 17th save
Craig Kimbrel struck out the side and walked one batter on Wednesday to nail down the save against the Guardians.

Advice: Kimbrel continues to drink from the fountain of youth. His 17th save to break the Orioles losing streak and he has his highest strikeout rate since 2021. He is locked in as the closer in Baltimore. Rotoworld Today, 6:12 pm

    • Gunnar Henderson smashes 26th home run
Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and two RBI on Wednesday against the Guardians.

Advice: This man is a revelation. He drove in the Orioles’ only runs until the seventh inning in this game. His 26 home runs trail only Aaron Judge. He joined Judge, Shohei Ohtani, and Juan Soto as the only players with an OPS over 1.000. He also has 13 stolen bases, 70 runs scored, and 57 RBI while playing elite shortstop defense. This is the definition of a superstar and potential face of the league. Rotoworld Today, 6:11 pm

    • Jhonkensy Noel homers in first MLB at-bat
Jhonkensy Noel went 1-for-4 with his first major league homer run on Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: What a moment for Noel to send one over the fence in his first at-bat as a big leaguer. He put up 18 homers, a .578 slugging percentage, and had three batted balls over 115 MPH in 65 games at AAA this year, so power is his calling card. Josh Naylor is the Guardians’ every day first baseman, but David Fry has faltered in June and played a good bit of corner outfield and catcher along with being the Guardians’ usual DH. Noel may have an opportunity to prove himself over the next few weeks. Rotoworld Today, 6:10 pm
