    • Goes yard again
Ward went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, a double and an additional run during Tuesday's 7-5 win over Oakland.

Advice: Ward launched a homer for the second consecutive night, tagging Sean Newcomb for a solo shot in the seventh inning. He's riding a five-game hit streak, batting 7-for-15 (.467) with five extra-base hits, five runs scored and a stolen base during that stretch. Ward also ranks top-20 in the AL in home runs and RBI. • Ends up with no-decision
Pfaadt allowed four runs on five hits and two walks while striking out two over 6.1 innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Tuesday.

Advice: Pfaadt pitched into the seventh inning for the second start in a row, but it resulted in him giving up a three-run home run to Ryan Jeffers that tied the game at 4-4. Arizona got the lead back in its half of the frame, but Pfaadt was already out of the game, leaving the win to reliever Kevin Ginkel. Through five starts in June, Pfaadt has allowed 17 runs over 30 innings with a 23:12 K:BB. He's now at a 4.45 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 86:24 K:BB through 97 innings through 16 starts this season. The right-hander is lined up to make his next start at home in a favorable matchup versus the Athletics. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:57 pm
    • Brandon Pfaadt blows lead in seventh versus Twins
Brandon Pfaadt surrendered four runs in 6 1/3 innings Tuesday in a no-decision against the Twins.

Advice: Byron Buxton homered off Pfaadt in the fifth, but that was the only run he allowed until the seventh, when he gave up a three-run shot to Ryan Jeffers. He was at just 80 pitches at the time, so fatigue probably wasn’t much of an issue. Still, it’s hard to go through a quality lineup three times. Pfaadt remained 3-6 with a 4.45 ERA. He’s due to face the A’s next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:17 pm
    • Aaron Judge hits grand slam in loss
Aaron Judge went 2-for-3 with a walk and five RBI in a loss to the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Judge had an RBI double in the seventh inning with the Yankees down by seven but then crushed a 390-foot grand slam at 109.4 mph that brought the Yankees within two. While the bottom of the Yankees lineup may not be particularly deep, they still have Aaron Judge, which will always make them a threat. The big right fielder now has 29 home runs and 75 RBI already this season, which seems like video game numbers. You’re feeling great if you were able to take him with your first-round pick. • Hunter Greene coughs up six runs to Pirates
Hunter Greene allowed six runs on seven hits in four innings in a loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The game started with Greene throwing up on the mound after delivering a first-inning fastball and it didn’t get much better from there. He struck out five and walked two and his velocity was fine on the day, but he clearly wasn’t feeling 100 percent. He posted a solid 27 percent whiff rate and 30 percent CSW, but the command wasn’t great and the Pirates were able to scratch out their runs on just one extra-base hit. Greene will hopefully be feeling better for his next start against the Cardinals this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:11 pm
    • Managing inflammation
Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly. • Returning to Texas for evaluation
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) returned to Texas to be evaluated and "make sure everything's fine," Kennedi Landry of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down over the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he apparently wasn't able to resume taking live batting practice Monday as hoped. Bochy didn't rule out a return before the end of the current road trip that wraps up this weekend in Baltimore, but for now, Jung's immediate outlook is up in the air as he gets checked out. • Josh Jung (wrist) undergoing further evaluation
Rangers general manager Chris Young told reporters Josh Jung is dealing with tendon inflammation in his surgically-repaired right wrist.

Advice: Not great. Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Jung didn’t take batting practice on Tuesday and declined to offer an updated timetable. The hope was that the 26-year-old third baseman would be ready to return at some point this week, but he’s headed back to Texas to undergo further testing after experiencing soreness last week in his surgically-repaired wrist. There should be an additional update on his status at some point later this week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:15 pm

    • Taking seat Tuesday
Murphy is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: After catching back-to-back games, Murphy will yield to Travis d'Arnaud behind the plate Tuesday. Murphy owns a .618 OPS with a 27.4 percent strikeout rate across 73 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:37 pm
