      Red Sox’ manager Alex Cora told reporters on Wednesday that Wilyer Abreu (ankle) is on track to rejoin the Red Sox over the weekend.

      Advice: The 24-year-old will play the outfield on Wednesday evening at Triple-A Worcester and is expected to serve as their designated hitter on Thursday.
