    • Three hits in Tuesday's loss
Rutschman went 3-for-5 with a run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Rutschman is on a tear during his five-game hitting streak, going 11-for-24 (.458) with seven RBI in that span. All three of his hits Tuesday were singles, and he has just two extra-base hits during the active streak. Rutschman continues to cement his status as one of the top catchers in baseball with a .323/.366/.419 slash line with two home runs, 14 RBI and 15 runs scored over 101 plate appearances this season. • Fans nine in second win
Stroman (2-1) picked up the win Tuesday, giving up three runs on seven hits and a walk over 5.1 innings in a 4-3 win over the A's. He struck out nine.

Advice: The 32-year-old righty came close to his first double-digit strikeout performance since he was a rookie in 2014, but Stroman left the mound after 97 pitches (64 strikes) as some early inefficiency caught up to him. He's failed to complete six innings in any of his last three outings, but Stroman will take a 2.93 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB through 27.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come on the road this weekend in Milwaukee. • Another multi-hit game
Bohm went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles and an RBI in Tuesday's 8-1 loss to the Reds.

Advice: Bohm was the lone Phillie with more than one hit and drove in their lone run Tuesday with a two-out double off Andrew Abbott in the opening frame. The 27-year-old Bohm has now hit safely in seven straight games, going 12-for-26 in that span, while recording multiple hits in four of his last five contests. He's boosted his slash line to .305/.400/.524 with three homers, seven doubles and 19 RBI through his first 95 plate appearances while batting in the middle of a potent Philadelphia lineup. • Gets Wednesday off
Marte is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Marte will take a seat for the first time since April 9, ending a streak of 13 consecutive starts during which he slashed a blistering .364/.413/.564 with two home runs, seven RBI and 12 runs. Kevin Newman will replace Marte at second base in the series finale in St. Louis. Rotowire.com Today, 7:11 am
    • Escapes with sixth save
Phillips gave up a hit and three walks in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his sixth save of the season in a 4-1 win over the Nationals. He struck out two.

Advice: The right-hander threw only 16 of 32 pitches for strikes in a shaky appearance, but Phillips got a bit lucky when Luis Garcia was caught in a rundown between third base and home plate rather than scoring on a CJ Abrams single. Phillips then erased a bases-loaded jam by fanning Jesse Winker to end the game. The Dodgers' closer had issued only one free pass in his first 8.2 innings this season, so the sudden control issues aren't a concern just yet. Phillips has yet to blow a save chance in 2024 while posting a 0.93 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 11:4 K:BB through 10 appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:45 am
    • Hitless in return
Heim went 0-for-2 with a walk in Tuesday's 4-0 loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Heim returned to the team following a stint on bereavement leave. Texas' starting catcher is batting .257/.286/.419 with three home runs, three doubles, 15 RBI and seven runs scored over 77 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:14 am

    • Evan Phillips records eventful save against Nats
Evan Phillips threw a scoreless ninth inning to preserve the Dodgers’ 4-1 win over the Nationals, collecting his sixth save of the season, despite allowing three walks and one hit.

Advice: Yes, Phillips allowed four baserunners and no runs. With runners on first and second, CJ Abrams laced a single to right field, but the Nationals third base coach put up a late stop sign that saw Luis Garcia Jr. get caught in a rundown between third and home. After Garcia was tagged out, Phillips walked Eddie Rosario to load the bases but struck out Jesse Winker to end the game. It took 32 pitches, but Phillips secured his sixth save of the year and lowered his ERA to 0.96. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:36 pm
    • Stroman inconsistent in win over A’s
Marcus Stroman allowed three runs on seven hits in 5 1/3 innings in a win over the A’s on Tuesday.

Advice: The line isn’t overly impressive, but Stroman did record nine strikeouts to just one walk on the day. His slider was especially dominant on Tuesday with a 60 percent whiff rate and 50 percent CSW that helped Stroman reach a 36 percent whiff rate and 28 percent CSW overall. That and his sinker were the only two pitches he had working on the day, allowing a 99 mph average exit velocity against his cutter and a 103 mph average exit velocity against his slurve. Luckily, he didn’t need more than that against the A’s, but he could find the sledding tougher against the Brewers on Sunday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:08 pm
    • Blake Treinen starting rehab assignment Tuesday
Blake Treinen (lung) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Treinen should only require a handful of rehab appearances before he’s ready to make his season debut. The 35-year-old veteran reliever has been out since early March after suffering a bruised lung when he was hit by a comebacker during a spring training contest. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:11 pm
