    • Expects to swing bat soon
Jung (wrist) said Wednesday that he expects to resume swinging a bat in a few days, Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Jung was examined Tuesday in Phoenix by the doctor who performed his right wrist surgery back in early April. While the third baseman has had his activation from the 60-day injured list pushed back a bit due to inflammation in the wrist, he's been told that his wrist is sound structurally. Jung's return has effectively been ruled out through the weekend, but it's possible he'll rejoin the Texas lineup shortly after that. More should be known regarding a potential target date for his return in the coming days. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:59 am

    • Snares 15th save
Estevez picked up the save Tuesday against Oakland, allowing one hit with two strikeouts across a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Estevez's streak of eight consecutive perfect innings came to an end Tuesday. However, he converted on his ninth straight save attempt and hasn't allowed an earned run since May 20. While saves have come at a premium for an Angels team that rests 12 games below .500, Estevez has made the most of his opportunity and is on pace for career lows in ERA and WHIP. • Tallies three hits
Mountcastle went 3-for-5 with a double and one run scored in Tuesday's 10-8 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Mountcastle has four multi-hit efforts over his last seven games, going 11-for-28 (.393) in that span. While he hasn't hit a homer since June 7, he's still been consistent at the plate while occupying a starting role at first base. The 27-year-old is slashing .281/.325/.476 with 11 homers, 39 RBI, 43 runs scored, 21 doubles, one triple and two stolen bases over 74 games this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:54 pm
    • Carlos Estévez strikes out two for 15th save
Carlos Estévez struck out two in a scoreless ninth for his 15th save Tuesday against the A’s.

Advice: Estévez came up one batter shy of completing a closer’s perfect game; he’d retired 26 straight over nine outings before giving up a single to Tyler Soderstrom tonight. He then struck out Shea Langerhans to end the game. His ERA has dropped from 5.06 ERA to 3.24 during this nearly perfect stretch. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:38 pm
    • Allows four runs in loss
Castillo (6-9) took the loss against the Rays on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and four walks with four strikeouts over 5.1 innings.

Advice: Castillo surrendered a leadoff home run to Yandy Diaz in the first inning and an RBI single to Jose Siri in the second. He responded with three scoreless frames but was pulled after walking two batters in the sixth. Both baserunners scored, resulting in the third time Castillo has yielded at least four earned runs in June. The 31-year-old owns a 3.79 ERA, 1.21 WHIP and 100:30 K:BB over 99.2 innings this season and lines up to face the Orioles next week. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:56 pm
    • Tallies three hits in win
Naylor went 3-for-4 with an RBI and three runs scored in a 10-8 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: Naylor was active early, doubling and scoring in the second inning and then singling and scoring the third. He hit an RBI triple and came around to score again in the eighth. Naylor finished a home run shy of a cycle in his first three-hit effort of the season. Over his past five games, Naylor has gone 8-for-18 with six extra-base hits, five RBI and six runs scored. On the season, the young catcher is hitting .202 with four home runs, 17 RBI and 22 runs scored over 168 at-bats. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:39 pm
    • Luis Castillo chased in 6th in loss to Rays
Luis Castillo allowed four runs on five hits in 5 1/3 innings in a loss to the Rays on Tuesday.

Advice: The Mariners ace struck out four and walked four on the day. He wasn’t sharp, with just a 44 percent zone rate on the day, but he had kept it together until the sixth inning. With the game tied at two, Castillo got one quick out but walked the next two hitters and was chased from the game. Michael Baumann then allowed a triple and a home run to bring in both inherited runners. Castillo had nine whiffs on 44 swings for a 20 percent whiff rate and 29 percent CSW on the day. We can probably chalk this up to a poor start, but it’s his second straight one so we’d like to see him right the ship next time out. The only problem is that the start comes against the Orioles. • Managing inflammation
Rangers GM Chris Young said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) is dealing with tendon inflammation and classified a potential return on the current road trip, which runs through Sunday in Baltimore, as "ambitious," Shawn McFarland of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down for the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he returned to Texas to be evaluated further Tuesday. Young indicated the expectation is that Jung's inflammation could subside within a few days, so the third baseman's return from the injured list may not be pushed back signficantly. • Returning to Texas for evaluation
Rangers manager Bruce Bochy said Tuesday that Jung (wrist) returned to Texas to be evaluated and "make sure everything's fine," Kennedi Landry of MLB.comreports.

Advice: The 26-year-old was shut down over the weekend after experiencing residual soreness in his surgically repaired right wrist, and he apparently wasn't able to resume taking live batting practice Monday as hoped. Bochy didn't rule out a return before the end of the current road trip that wraps up this weekend in Baltimore, but for now, Jung's immediate outlook is up in the air as he gets checked out.
