    • Andrés Muñoz to undergo MRI on back
The Mariners said Andrés Muñoz has been dealing with a back issue that flared up during the home plate collision during Tuesday’s game, necessitating Muñoz’s removal from the game.

Advice: Apparently, this has been ongoing for a couple of weeks, but this is the first time the Mariners have expressed concern. He’s expected to undergo an MRI on Wednesday to see if there’s something significant going on in there. Ryne Stanek is probably worth picking up for mixed leaguers in need of saves. • Carlos Estévez records second save in two days
Carlos Estévez recorded his 10th save by pitching a perfect ninth against the Padres on Tuesday.

Advice: It was another easy ninth for Estévez; he’s thrown just 19 pitches in earning saves the last two days. Since he’s had it so easy and he received five straight days off prior to pitching Monday, he might be allowed to work again tomorrow should another save chance arise. • Exits following collision
Munoz was removed from Tuesday's game against the Athletics with an apparent injury, Daniel Kramer of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Munoz collided with Max Schuemann while covering home plate following a wild pitch, appearing to get his right ankle/leg caught underneath the sliding Schuemann. After throwing a warmup pitch, the right-handed reliever was taken out of the game, though he was able to head into the Mariners' clubhouse under his own power. An update on the severity of Munoz's injury should come before Wednesday's game. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:33 pm

    • Andrés Muñoz exits with apparent leg injury
Andrés Muñoz left Tuesday’s game in the ninth inning after a collision at home plate.

Advice: Muñoz appeared to injure his right leg while trying to make a play after a wild pitch. He felt well enough to attempt a warmup pitch afterwards, but he didn’t fully extend on the leg and the decision was made to lift him from the game. Hopefully, this will just be a day-to-day injury. Tayler Saucedo wound up with the save after Muñoz exited tonight, but Ryne Stanek would be the favorite for saves if Muñoz lands on the IL. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:30 pm

    • Max Fried strikes out 13 in win over Boston
Max Fried allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits in seven innings in a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Fried also struck out 13 on the day while walking just one. He did give up a home run to Dominic Smith, but it was the only extra-base hit he allowed in the game. He got 21 whiffs on 50 swings for an impressive 42 percent whiff rate and 40 percent CSW. This Red Sox lineup is clearly short-handed due to injuries, but Fried was masterful on Tuesday and now has a 2.93 ERA on the year. He should be in line for another good start against the Nationals this weekend. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:25 pm

    • Career day against BoSox
Fried (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Boston, allowing three runs (two earned) on four hits and a walk across seven innings. He struck out 13.

Advice: Fried recorded a career-high number of strikeouts Tuesday, surpassing 10 Ks for the first time since 2019. The southpaw yielded his first long ball in five starts, as lefty-hitting Dominic Smith launched a solo homer in the third inning. Fried has logged a quality start in six of his last eight outings, a stretch in which he owns a 1.57 ERA and a 55:13 K:BB over 57.1 innings. He's scheduled to face the Nationals in Washington on Sunday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 7:07 pm

    • Bailey Ober struggles in loss to Yankees
Bailey Ober gave up three runs over five innings on Tuesday in a loss to the Yankees.

Advice: Ober was tagged for just three hits over five frames, but a solo homer from Gleyber Torres and two-run double by Aaron Judge were enough to saddle him with a loss in a matchup against Yankees emerging start Luis Gil. He finished with a pair of strikeouts and also issued four walks. He’ll bring a pedestrian 4.94 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 60/16 K/BB ratio across 62 innings (12 starts) into a road matchup on Sunday against the Pirates. Rotoworld Tuesday, 6:40 pm

    • Bobby Miller (shoulder) to start this week at AAA
Bobby Miller (shoulder) will make a minor league rehab start this week for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Miller dealt with some diminished velocity last weekend in his second minor league rehab start for Single-A Rancho Cucamonga, but the Dodgers reportedly aren’t concerned. The 25-year-old righty is slated to pitch against some higher-level minor-league competition this week before the club re-evaluates whether he’s ready to return to the majors. • Carlos Estévez perfect in ninth for save
Carlos Estévez threw a perfect ninth with a one-run lead for a save Monday against the Padres.

Advice: Following a pretty dreadful run in mid-May, Estévez has worked perfect innings in his last two appearances. Unfortunately, those were his only two appearances in the last 13 days, as the Angels simply aren’t a very good team right now. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm
