    • Might not be ready Friday
Astros manager Joe Espada indicated Wednesday that Tucker (lower leg) might not be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Tucker missed a second straight start Wednesday with a bruised right shin. While Espada said the outfielder is "making progress," he implied that Alex Bregman (hand) has a better shot to be ready to go Friday following the team's off day Thursday. Tucker was originally injured in Monday's game versus the Cardinals when he fouled a ball off his lower leg. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:52 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) may not be ready by Friday
Astros’ manager Joe Espada told reporters after Wednesday’s loss to the Cardinals that Kyle Tucker (shin) may not be ready to rejoin the lineup on Friday.

Advice: The 27-year-old superstar missed his second consecutive game on Wednesday after leaving Monday’s game with a right shin contusion. It doesn’t sound like Tucker is going to require a trip to the injured list, but it is taking him longer to bounce back than originally anticipated. It’s a situation fantasy managers need to monitor heading into the Astros’ weekend series against the Angels in Los Angeles. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:36 pm

    • Jarren Duran homers, triples against Braves
Jarred Duran collected his ninth triple and fourth homer Wednesday against the Braves.

Advice: Duran hasn’t been quite as good as hoped for fantasy purposes, especially after the Red Sox decided to rein him in on the basepaths, but there still could be more in store here. He’s at .261/.326/.447 to date, and he’s up to 11th in the AL with 36 runs scored. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:25 pm
    • Aims for return around July 1
Casas (ribs) said Wednesday in an interview with NESN that he should be cleared to swing a bat before the end of the week.

Advice: Casas noted earlier this week that he's still experiencing some discomfort in his ribs when he rotates, but the 24-year-old expects to progress enough in the coming days to try swinging a bat. The first baseman still has several hurdles to clear in the recovery process before being ready for game action, but he said in his interview that he's hoping to be activated from the 60-day injured list "right around July 1." • Triston Casas hoping to return around July 1
Triston Casas thinks he could return from his oblique strain right around July 1.

Advice: Casas has yet to resume swinging, but that could happen within the next few days. Obviously, that’ll be the real test before any sort of official timetable comes down. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:10 pm

    • Scratched due to knee issue
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Marte was scratched from the lineup prior to Wednesday's game in Washington due to a right knee issue, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Though he played all nine innings of Tuesday's 6-3 win while going 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, two runs and two RBI, Marte informed the Mets on Wednesday that his knee was bothering him at points during the previous night's game. The Mets elected to scratch Marte from the lineup for the series finale as a matter of precaution, but Mendoza said that he has a low level of concern for the outfielder's injury. Marte will still be available off the bench Wednesday, and with off days Thursday and Friday, the expectation is that he'll be back in the lineup Saturday for the start of the Mets' two-game series in London versus the Phillies. • Starling Marte has sore knee, available off bench
The Mets said Starling Marte was scratched because of a right knee issue but that he is available off the bench Wednesday.

Advice: Marte felt something in Tuesday’s game, apparently. Tyrone Taylor is playing right field today. Rotoworld Wednesday, 11:22 am

    • Starling Marte becomes a late scratch Wednesday
Starling Marte was scratched from Wednesday’s lineup for unknown reasons.

Advice: Tyrone Taylor slides into right field in Marte’s place against the Nationals. Rotoworld Wednesday, 10:51 am

    • Scratched from Wednesday's lineup
Marte was scratched from the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Nationals for an unspecified reason.

Advice: The Mets haven't provided an immediate explanation for why Marte was removed from the starting nine, but the team should offer an update later Wednesday. Tyrone Taylor will enter the lineup as a replacement for Marte, who had started in both of the first two games of the series in Washington while going 4-for-8 with a triple, a walk, a stolen base, four runs and two RBI.
