      Astros manager Joe Espada indicated Wednesday that Tucker (lower leg) might not be ready to return to the lineup Friday against the Angels, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

      Advice: Tucker missed a second straight start Wednesday with a bruised right shin. While Espada said the outfielder is "making progress," he implied that Alex Bregman (hand) has a better shot to be ready to go Friday following the team's off day Thursday.       Advice: Casas noted earlier this week that he's still experiencing some discomfort in his ribs when he rotates, but the 24-year-old expects to progress enough in the coming days to try swinging a bat. The first baseman still has several hurdles to clear in the recovery process before being ready for game action, but he said in his interview that he's hoping to be activated from the 60-day injured list "right around July 1."       Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Marte was scratched from the lineup prior to Wednesday's game in Washington due to a right knee issue, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

      Advice: Though he played all nine innings of Tuesday's 6-3 win while going 1-for-3 with a triple, a walk, two runs and two RBI, Marte informed the Mets on Wednesday that his knee was bothering him at points during the previous night's game. The Mets elected to scratch Marte from the lineup for the series finale as a matter of precaution, but Mendoza said that he has a low level of concern for the outfielder's injury. Marte will still be available off the bench Wednesday, and with off days Thursday and Friday, the expectation is that he'll be back in the lineup Saturday for the start of the Mets' two-game series in London versus the Phillies.
