      Brewers activated 1B Rhys Hoskins from the 10-day injured list.

      Advice: The 31-year-old slugger will make his triumphant return to the Brewers’ starting lineup on Friday night against the White Sox.       Advice: Hoskins has been on the injured list since he strained his right hamstring during a game against Pittsburgh on May 13. He was originally expected to come off the IL during Milwaukee's upcoming road series in Philadelphia, but the slugging first baseman will instead return a few days early without playing in any rehab games. Hoskins should immediately return to a near-everyday role for the Brewers, though he may see more action as a DH as he gets his hamstring used to playing in games again.       Advice: After two games with High-A Lake County, Kwan moved his rehab to Columbus earlier this week. He was on base three times Thursday in his second game with the Guardians' top minor-league affiliate and added a steal for good measure, showing good confidence in his hamstring. The 26-year-old appears poised to return to the major-league lineup in the near future, possibly as soon as Friday against Washington, and will look to pick up where he left off before going down after posting a .353/.407/.496 slash line over his first 32 games this season.       Advice: Pasquantino missed Wednesday's game due to a shin injury, but his absence wasn't a long one. He served as the designated hitter Thursday, but it shouldn't be long before he's back at first base. The 26-year-old's homer was his first since May 9, which was also the date of his previous multi-hit effort.       Josh Hader struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Mariners.

      Advice: Hader got the call to protect a four-run advantage in a non-save situation and made things interesting by giving up singles to Julio Rodríguez and Ty France before striking out Dominic Canzone and getting Mitch Haniger to ground out to extinguish the threat. The 30-year-old lefty has allowed just two runs with a 20/4 K/BB ratio across 11 appearances since the start of May. Simply put, he remains one of the few elite closers in the fantasy landscape.     • Murphy: Rhys Hoskins might return this weekend
      Brewers manager Pat Murphy said Thursday that Rhys Hoskins (hamstring) has a chance to return this weekend.

      Advice: Hoskins is roughly two weeks removed from a right hamstring strain that he suffered earlier this month and progressed to on-field running this week. There’s optimism he’ll be ready to roll by early next week, but it sounds like there’s a possibility he’s on track for this weekend when the Brewers face the White Sox.       Vinnie Pasquantino went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run on Thursday against the Twins.

      Advice: Pasquantino went deep for the sixth time this season following a one-game absence recovering from a left leg injury that he suffered earlier this week. He’s hitting just .229 with a .234 BABIP this year. Pasquantino’s career BABIP is .267 and with better luck on balls in play we should expect him to hit at least .260 over the course of the rest of the season.
