    • Blown save Friday
McArthur took a blown save in Friday's 11-8 loss to the Padres, allowing four runs on four hits without retiring a batter.

Advice: McArthur inherited a brutal situation from John Schreiber, who left the bases loaded with no outs in the eighth inning. McArthur let all three inherited runners score after allowing four straight singles, and Will Klein was unable to slow the Padres' rally. While he's still a high-leverage option, McArthur was awful in May with a 9.00 ERA and 1.90 WHIP over 10 innings while going 4-for-7 in save conversations. He's at a 5.32 ERA, 1.48 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 23.2 innings, but he's giving up too many hits to find long-term success, though the Royals lack relievers who have pitched well over the last month. • Ready to go Saturday
Westburg (hand) will draw the start at third base and bat seventh Saturday versus the Rays.

Advice: Westburg will make his return to the lineup after missing two games with a hand injury following a hit-by-pitch Tuesday against Boston. The 25-year-old currently owns a five-game hit streak, batting .444 with a homer, two doubles, five RBI and four runs scored over that stretch. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago

    • Plates three runs Friday
Cronenworth went 2-for-5 with a double, a run and three RBI in an 11-8 win over Kansas City on Friday.

Advice: Cronenworth was a key part of San Diego's nine-run eighth inning, knocking in the first two runs of the frame with a single and capping the outburst with an RBI double. The pair of base knocks were much-needed for the second baseman, as he had just one hit over his previous 14 at-bats prior to the big inning. Cronenworth slashed .265/.315/.461 with four homers, 18 RBI, nine runs and a stolen base over 26 games in May. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago

    • Jordan Westburg returns to O’s lineup on Saturday
Jordan Westburg (hand) is back in the lineup for Saturday’s showdown against the Rays.

Advice: Westburg is back at third base and batting seventh on Saturday afternoon at Oriole Park following a two-game absence due to lingering right hand soreness after being hit by a pitch earlier this week. The 25-year-old infielder has put together a breakthrough campaign so far, posting a .291/.351/.508 triple-slash line with eight homers and five steals in 209 plate appearances over 51 games. • Michael Conforto singles Friday in rehab contest
Michael Conforto (hamstring) went 1-for-3 on Friday in a minor league rehab game for Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Conforto kicked off his rehab assignment by getting in a couple frames in left field as he works his way back from a right hamstring strain. The 31-year-old veteran was off to a strong start at the dish, with encouraging Statcast batted ball metrics to back it up, which should make him a relevant option for fantasy managers once he returns. • First to 20 homers in 2024
Judge went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Friday's 6-2 win over the Giants.

Advice: Judge ended May with a bang, earning his first multi-homer game of the year while reaching the 20-homer mark. He did a ton of damage to opposing pitchers this month, going 36-for-97 (.371) with 14 long balls, 12 doubles and 27 RBI over 28 contests. The slugger is up to a fantastic .282/.408/.648 slash line with 45 RBI, 40 runs scored and two stolen bases over 59 contests in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Aaron Judge homers twice in win over Giants
Aaron Judge homered twice and drove in four runs in a 6-2 win for the Yankees over the Giants on Friday.

Advice: This getting ridiculous. Judge is now all alone in eighth place in Yankees’ history with 277 homers; passing Jorge Posada. The slugger also singled for a three-hit day, and he’s up to 20 homers on the season. The month of May has been extremely kind to Judge. It’s likely the other months will be good to the 32-year-old, as well. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:57 pm

    • William Contreras picks up three hits in easy win
William Contreras picked up three hits and drove in a run in a win Friday over the White Sox.

Advice: Contreras, 26, also scored twice. The Brewers were able to reach 23 times via hit and six times on walks, and somewhat amazingly none of those hits went over the fence. Contreras is one of the best hitting backstops in baseball with a .323 average, .896 OPS, eight homers and four stolen bases across 229 at-bats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:06 pm
    • James McArthur gives up four runs in blowing save
James McArthur gave up four runs without retiring a batter in the eighth to take a blown save Friday against the Padres.

Advice: Josh Schreiber, McArthur and Will Klein combined to give up nine runs in the eighth after the Royals entered the inning with a 3-2 lead. The good news for McArthur was that Schreiber, the Royals’ best alternative in the closer’s role, was pretty much equally ineffective tonight. Schrieber still has a big ERA lead on McArthur (3.00 to 5.32) and McArthur is up to four blown saves, so a change might be considered. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:00 pm
