    • Ramirez has three hits, home run Saturday
Jose Ramirez went 3-for-4 with a double, a home run, and three RBI against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Ramirez started the scoring with a two-run homer against Bailey Ober in the first inning. He also had an RBI double in the third inning. Ramirez seems to be turning it around as his average is up to .260 on the season now and his RBI total is up to 41.

    • Not sharp versus Mets
Garrett took a no-decision Saturday against the Mets, allowing six runs on seven hits and a walk over 4.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Garrett looked out of sorts from the jump, hitting two batters with pitches while allowing three hits and two runs in the first inning. He started to settle in a bit after that, but Garrett was pulled with the bases loaded and one out in the fifth and then watched all three inherited runners cross the plate. We've seen two straight duds from Garrett since he's come off the injured list. Better days are surely ahead, but it will be difficult for fantasy managers to trust him next week in Arizona. • Garrett shaky again Saturday
Braxton Garrett allowed six runs, seven hits and a walk in 4 1/3 innings and got a no-decision against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: It was Garrett’s second start since coming off the injured list. He’s allowed at least five runs in both of his starts and his ERA is up to 10.24. The silver lining is that Garrett has 13 strikeouts in 9 2/3 innings this year. The 26-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Diamondbacks on the road next weekend, but he should be left on the bench for now.

    • Getting breather Saturday
Gurriel isn't in the Diamondbacks' lineup for Saturday's game versus Detroit.

Advice: Gurriel has gone just 1-for-18 with nine strikeouts across his past five games, so the D-backs will give him a day to regroup Saturday. Jake McCarthy, Corbin Carroll and Pavin Smith will start across the outfield while Gurriel rests. Rotowire.com Saturday, 1:07 pm
    • Idle against lefty
Wade isn't in the Giants' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Wade will begin Saturday's contest in the dugout as left-hander Ty Blach prepares to toe the slab for Colorado. Wilmer Flores will pick up a start at first base while batting third. Rotowire.com Saturday, 11:04 am
    • Brayan Bello surrenders three homers in defeat
Brayan Bello surrendered five runs in 4 2/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Cardinals.

Advice: The ability is there for Bello to be better than this, but he’s just so overrated now. The Cardinals were averaging one homer every 51 plate appearances this season before Bello gave up three to the 21 batters he faced tonight. Boston would have been better off giving his six-year deal to Kutter Crawford this spring. Rotoworld Friday, 11:52 pm

    • Connor Wong collects four hits versus Cardinals
Connor Wong finished 4-for-5 with an RBI against the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Statcast thinks Wong has been one of the game’s most fortunate hitters this year, but the luck shows no signs of stopping. His exit velocity numbers remain mediocre, but he has shown some legitimate improvement in terms of contact ability. With the Red Sox hitting him third of late, he’s a top-12 catcher for the moment. • Michael Massey goes 3-for-4, homers versus A’s
Michael Massey finished 3-for-4 and hit a two-run homer versus the A’s on Friday.

Advice: Massey lifted his OPS from .633 to .708 tonight. That he’s walked just once in 85 plate appearances isn’t great, but his strikeout rate is down and his exit velocity numbers are fine. It’s doubtful he’ll be of use in shallow mixed leagues anytime soon, but he’s definitely doing enough to stick in the lineup. Rotoworld Friday, 10:28 pm

    • Goes deep again Friday
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Friday's 7-3 win over the Reds.

Advice: Ohtani reclaimed a share of the major-league lead in homers with his 13th long ball of the year, which came off Frankie Montas in the third inning. Over his last 12 games, Ohtani's slugged six homers with 12 RBI and seven multi-hit efforts. He's slashing an electrifying .358/.426/.676 with 32 RBI, 36 runs scored, 11 stolen bases, 16 doubles and a triple through 204 plate appearances while occupying the No. 2 spot in the Dodgers' stacked lineup.
