• Records first steal Friday
Andujar went 2-for-4 with a double, a stolen base and a run in a loss to Atlanta on Friday.

Advice: Andujar provided the only multi-hit effort of the night for the Athletics, which were mostly stymied by Reynaldo Lopez and three relievers. Andujar already has a trio of extra-base hits since making his delayed season debut May 24, and he's quickly cobbled together a .375 average and .943 OPS by hitting safely in five of his first six games of the campaign. • Three homers in four games
Bregman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Friday against the Twins.

Advice: Bregman accounted for the Astros' only run with his seventh home run of the season. After a slow start to the campaign, he has started to turn things around, going 8-for-24 with three home runs, five RBI and four runs scored across his last six games. Bregman still has just a .652 OPS for the season, though he has managed 26 RBI across 55 games. Rotowire.com 45 minutes ago

  • Yanquiel Fernandez has four hits Friday at Double-A
Rockies OF prospect Yanquiel Fernandez went 4-for-4 with a pair of runs scored on Friday for Double-A Hartford.

Advice: Fernandez racked up a season-high four hits, including a triple, to raise his OPS to .736 on the young season. The 21-year-old outfielder possesses enough over-the-fence pop, as evidenced by a 25-homer campaign last year in the lower minors, to potentially make an impact for fantasy managers down the road. Especially if he winds up getting to play at Coors Field. He’s arguably a top-25 range outfield prospect in dynasty leagues at the moment. Rotoworld Today, 7:54 am
  • Three hits in Friday's win
Lopez went 3-for-4 with a stolen base in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: The 25-year-old has five hits in the last two games as he solidifies his hold on the starting job at second base for the Marlins. Lopez isn't supplying any power right now, however -- while he's batting .325 (13-for-40) over his last 11 games with three steals, three runs and eight RBI, his last extra-base hit was a double May 18. • Progresses beyond flat ground
Hendriks (elbow) threw fastballs and breaking balls off the front of the mound Thursday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: Moving to any part of a mound represents another step forward in Hendriks' rehab from Tommy John surgery. The reliever had previously thrown off flat ground only. Rotowire.com Today, 6:32 am

  • Big power display Friday
Sanchez went 3-for-3 with a walk, two doubles, a three-run home run and a second run scored in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers.

Advice: He took Jesus Tinoco deep in the seventh inning, Sanchez's second long ball in as many games but only his fourth of the year. The 26-year-old outfielder had snapped a 29-game homer drought with his blast Wednesday, and he's suddenly caught fire at the plate, batting .391 (9-for-23) over the last seven contests. Despite the surge, Sanchez is slashing just .245/.302/.355 on the season. Rotowire.com Today, 6:31 am
  • Short outing Friday
Sanchez came away with a no-decision in Friday's 8-2 win over the Rangers, giving up two runs on four hits and a walk over four-plus innings. He didn't strike out a batter.

Advice: After throwing at least 76 pitches in each of his three prior starts, Sanchez saw his workload ratcheted back in this one as he tossed only 53 pitches (29 strikes), getting the hook after allowing back-to-back hits to lead off the fifth inning. The right-hander is still looking for his first win of the season -- and first since Sept. 13, 2020 -- and has completed five innings only once since getting a chance to start, but he figures to continue plugging a hole in the Marlins' rotation until Edward Cabrera (shoulder) gets healthy or the team decides to bring Max Meyer back up. Sanchez will carry a 6.06 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 17:14 K:BB through 35.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next weekend against the Guardians. • Early exit in Miami
Urena (1-5) took the loss Friday, giving up four runs (two earned) on four hits and two walks over 2.1 innings as the Rangers fell 8-2 to the Marlins. He struck out one.

Advice: An error by Marcus Semien in the third inning did Urena no favors, but the right-hander also wasn't fooling anyone, managing only five swinging strikes among his 65 pitches before getting the hook. Urena is on his fifth team in four seasons since leaving Miami after the 2020 campaign, and while he sports a solid 3.74 ERA and 1.34 WHIP through 45.2 innings for Texas this year, his 5.61 ERA and 1.59 WHIP over the prior three seasons suggest regression is coming. If he gets another turn through the rotation, Urena lines up for a home start next week, either Wednesday against the Tigers or Friday against the Giants. Rotowire.com Today, 6:17 am

  • Homers in loss
Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 8-2 loss to the Marlins.

Advice: Smith cracked his third home run of the season in the fourth inning. While he won't be a 1-for-1 replacement for the injured Josh Jung (wrist), Smith has done a credible job as the Rangers' primary third baseman. Smith is batting .279/.374/.419 with three homers, 13 doubles, one triple, 22 RBI and 26 runs over 198 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:13 am
