Cooper Criswell gives up four runs in loss
Cooper Criswell lost to the White Sox after allowing four runs — three earned — in 4 1/3 innings on Friday.
Advice: Criswell entered the night 3-2 with a 3.92 ERA, but by rule, this counts as three losses on his record. After a promising first month with the Red Sox, he’s given up 19 runs — 16 earned — in 22 1/3 innings in his last five outings. He’ll probably stay in the rotation for now, but the Red Sox could eventually have him swap spots with Chase Anderson or Brad Keller.
