  • Ke’Bryan Hayes belts two-run homer in victory
    Ke’Bryan Hayes went 2-for-4 and belted a two-run homer on Saturday, powering the Pirates to a lopsided 8-1 victory over the Blue Jays in Toronto.

    Advice: Hayes put the exclamation point on a three-run first inning for the Pirates with his 404-foot (107.8 mph EV) two-run blast off of Yusei Kikuchi. That would be more than enough run support for Mitch Keller and company in this one. Hayes also led off the sixth inning with a single and scored on a fielder’s choice off the bat of Jared Triolo.     Advice: A trainer tended to Young while the Nationals made a pitching change in the bottom of the sixth inning before walking Young off the field. Eddie Rosario will fill center field while Joey Gallo enters the game in left. It's unclear exactly what type of injury Young is dealing with, but we should learn more later Saturday.   • Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swipes base in loss to Bucs
    Vladimir Guerrero Jr. swiped his second base of the season and scored the Blue Jays’ lone run in Saturday’s loss to the Pirates.

    Advice: The 25-year-old slugger smacked a one-out single off of Mitch Keller in the sixth inning, advanced to second on a line drive off the bat of Bo Bichette and scored the Jays’ only run on a two-out RBI single by Dan Vogelbach. He also drew a walk in the opening inning and swiped second base, but was left stranded there.     Andrew Benintendi was pulled from Saturday afternoon’s matchup against the Brewers due to left Achilles tendinitis.

    Advice: Benintendi got the White Sox on the board in the third inning with a 397-foot blast off of Robert Gasser. Perhaps he irritated something on the swing or while rounding the bases though, as he was replaced by Dominic Fletcher when the White Sox took the field.
