    • Homers in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in a 7-6 win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: Freeman singled and scored in the fifth inning and added a two-run home run in the sixth. The 25-year-old slashed a miserable .167/.268/.264 in June but got off on the right foot in July with his first home run since June 9. On the season, he is slashing .211/.306/.343 with seven home runs, 30 RBI, 41 runs scored and eight steals over 291 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 8:10 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez has two hits, three RBI in loss
Yordan Alvarez went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was a 390-foot shot off Jose Berrios for Alvarez’s 18th home run on the season to go along with 46 RBI. He has battled some injuries during the year but remains one of the most consistent hitters in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Today, 7:51 pm

    • Trea Turner homers twice in win over Cubs
Trea Turner went 3-for-5 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cubs.

Advice: Turner hit a solo homer in the top of the third inning to give the Phillies a 3-0 lead and later returned to hit a two-run shot in the fifth inning to push the lead to 5-1. The Phillies start shortstop now has five homers on the season and has hit safely in five of his last six games. Turner is slashing a solid .338/.386/.487 on the season but hasn’t offered much as far as steals are concerned, which could be chalked up to the hamstring injury he returned from a few weeks ago. • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

Advice: The home run was Freeman’s seventh of the season to go along with 30 RBI. Despite some concerns about his playing time, Freeman has started five of the last six games in center field for the Guardians. His expected stats still suggest there should be some batting average gains coming for the 25-year-old, but he might never be a real asset in that category. Still, given his most power/speed upside and regular role, Freeman is worth rostering in deeper formats. Rotoworld Today, 6:31 pm

    • Jesse Winker sits on Tuesday against southpaw
Jesse Winker is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Mets.

Advice: It seems like a matchup-driven decision with lefty Sean Manaea toeing the rubber for New York, but it’s worth noting that Winker has missed a pair of contests since suffering a knee contusion last Friday. He’s probably fine, but it’s something fantasy managers should keep an eye on as the week progresses. Rotoworld Today, 1:21 pm

    • Absent from lineup
Winker is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Mets, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Winker will dodge a matchup with southpaw Sean Manaea on Tuesday. Harold Ramirez will bat third and DH. Rotowire.com Today, 12:55 pm

    • MacKenzie Gore denied win after strong showing
MacKenzie Gore allowed one run over 5 2/3 innings and struck out eight Monday against the Mets.

Advice: Gore was at 104 pitches, so it’s kind or understandable that he was pulled in the sixth. Still, he seemed to be very much in control at that point. He’d given up just a soft single before rebounding to retire the next two batters in the sixth. The Nationals pulled him with a 2-0 lead in favor of Derek Law, and the Mets, aided by a CJ Abrams error, went on to score three runs in the frame. That Gore didn’t get a win will probably save the Nationals about $100,000 in arbitration this winter, so they have that going for them. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:32 pm

    • Fans eight in no-decision
Gore did not factor into the decision in Monday's 9-7 loss to the Mets, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over 5.2 innings. He struck out eight.

Advice: The Washington southpaw created an incredible 21 whiffs to collect his eight punchouts, and he left the game with the Nationals ahead 2-0 only to watch Derek Law immediately cough up the lead. This was a bounce-back performance for Gore as he struggled in five June starts with a 5.13 ERA across 26.1 innings. The 25-year-old's season ERA now stands at 3.47 with 107:29 K:BB over 90.2 innings. He is tentatively scheduled to make his next outing against the Cardinals at home this weekend. • Cracks 17th homer in win
Alvarez went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer and a walk in Monday's 3-1 victory over the Blue Jays.

Advice: The Houston designated hitter provided two insurance runs by launching a 397-foot homer off Zach Pop in the ninth inning to extend the Astros' lead to 3-0. Alvarez has opened July nicely on the tails of a scorching June in which he hit .349 (30-for-86) with seven homers, 19 RBI and 20 runs scored. The 27-year-old's been the heart and soul of the Houston lineup this season, as expected, slashing .294/.372/.528 in 352 total plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:33 pm
