      Advice: Ward was struck in the head after a 93 mph fastball got away from reliever Shelby Miller. The outfielder looked to be OK after getting hit, with his removal from the contest potentially being a matter of precaution, according to Beacham. The 30-year-old missed the final three months of the 2023 campaign after being hit in the face by a pitch from Toronto starter Alek Manoah, making the situation Sunday particularly jarring.       Advice: Chisholm is back in center field and leading in the wake of a one-game absence from Friday’s game against the Phillies after taking a 93 mph fastball from lefty Matt Strahm off his right hand during Thursday’s series opener. X-rays came back negative for any fractures and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to miss any additional time moving forward. The outfielder's surge has lifted his slash line to .267/.301/.422 with 11 homers, 47 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases over 76 contests this season. Gurriel's .723 OPS is still the lowest mark of his career, but he's been trending in the right direction for most of June after entering the month with a .642 OPS. The veteran outfielder has been inconsistent — something that has followed him for most of his career — but the two-hit night has his average up to .267 and his OPS up to .723 with 11 homers and 47 RBI through 303 at-bats.       Advice: X-rays came back negative for any fractures, but the 26-year-old outfielder was still a bit sore on Friday so the decision was made to hold him out of action.
