    • Notches second save of June
McArthur earned a save against the Marlins on Monday, striking out one batter in a perfect inning of work.

Advice: McArthur entered in the ninth frame with Kansas City up by three runs and made quick work of Miami, retiring the side in order on 10 pitches. That netted him his first save since June 6 and his 13th overall this season. McArthur's 18-day span between saves was of no fault of his own -- he didn't see any save opportunities during that stretch, and the only save by any KC pitcher during that period came in a game during which McArthur was used in a high-leverage spot and ended up with the victory. With that in mind, McArthur remains the top option for save chances in the Royals' bullpen. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:36 pm

    • Homers in Monday's win
Ward went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run, a walk and an additional run scored in Monday's 5-1 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Ward gave the Angels all the offense they needed with his first-inning blast. This was his 13th homer of the season, but it's just his second over the last 24 contests. The outfielder may be coming back around at the plate, as he's hit safely in four straight games, but he's at a .241/.326/.431 slash line with 40 RBI, 37 runs scored and three stolen bases through 75 contests overall. • Notches 12th save
Fairbanks earned his 12th save of the season Monday against Seattle, striking out two batters in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Fairbanks picked up his second save in as many days, totaling three strikeouts while not allowing a single baserunner. The 30-year-old has pitched well in the month of June, going 7-for-8 in save chances with a 2.31 ERA, a 0.89 WHIP and an 11:2 K:BB in 11.2 innings. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:31 pm

    • Launches 13th homer
Raleigh went 1-for-2 with a solo home run, a stolen base and two walks in Monday's 4-3 loss to Tampa Bay.

Advice: Raleigh slugged his 13th home run of the season, his first since June 10. The 27-year-old has batted just .178 over the past two weeks, but he has added two home runs, three doubles, two stolen bases and 11 RBI during that span. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:01 pm
    • McArthur picks up 13th save against Marlins
James McArthur tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: The save was McArthur’s 13th of the season. He’s been a little shaky this season with a 4.70 ERA, but the Royals don’t necessarily have a better option to turn to for saves. It was just McArthur’s second save in the month of June, but it looks like the Royals will continue to lean on him when the opportunity arises. Rotoworld Monday, 7:45 pm

    • Cal Raleigh homers, steals base in loss to Rays
Cal Raleigh belted a solo homer and also stole a base on Monday in the Mariners’ loss to the Rays.

Advice: The aptly named “Big Dumper” isn’t exactly known for his stolen base prowess, but he’s flashes strong instincts on the bases throughout his career, and is now up to three thefts on the year. He connected for a fourth-inning solo shot off Rays starter Taj Bradley for his 13th long ball of the year. It was the first time he’s left the yard since June 10, snapping a 12-game homerless drought in the process. Rotoworld Monday, 7:42 pm
    • Pete Fairbanks silences M’s to net 12th save
Pete Fairbanks struck out two in a perfect ninth inning on Monday against the Mariners to record his 12th save of the season.

Advice: Fairbanks got the call to protect a one-run lead in the final frame after Tampa Bay erased a one-run deficit in the eighth inning and needed just 10 pitches (nine strikes) to slam the door. It was his second straight perfect outing after an ugly blown save last week against the Twins. He’s converted 12 of his 14 save chances this season to accompany a 3.25 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 30/12 K/BB ratio across 27 2/3 innings (28 appearances). Rotoworld Monday, 7:41 pm

    • Playing catch Monday
Musgrove (elbow) will play catch Monday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Musgrove has been throwing plyometric balls in recent days, but Monday marks his first time playing catch since he landed on the 15-day injured list at the beginning of the month. Surgery hasn't been ruled out down the road for the right-hander, but he'll attempt to come back from the IL without an operation. Even if the non-surgical route proves effective for Musgrove, he's still several weeks away from a potential return. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:07 pm

    • Pops 12th homer
Altuve went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Altuve led off the bottom of the first inning with his 12th home run of the season and third in his last 13 starts. He's been hot in that stretch, maintaining a .352 average with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored while also chipping in a stolen base. Altuve has already locked in his third consecutive season with double-digit homers and steals and is hitting .299 across 342 plate appearances on the campaign. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:31 am
