ADD RESET

Everyone remember your ADD/DROPS will be reset at the start of the regular season. So feel free to use all the ADD/DROPs you want.

These is a issue I want to post. I am not trying to be mean or a jerk when I say this concerning playing your team. I am not trying to dictate anyone's strategy. Certainly everyone can play their team the way they see fit. With that said I am referring to managers not putting players in the game that are on the bench and leaving players in the game that have an NA TAG, etc.. Not doing something when you have injuries or even having players in the game with IL60 or NA tags. Sometime this happens and they are in the game but I am referring to week and weeks of this. Then by mid season you have no wins or 1 win 1/2 of your team is injured or out til next year and you have not 1 ADD/DROP. Then all of a sudden that manager will make the max amount of ADD/DROP for a couple of weeks. Pick up a bunch of players that do nothing to help their team. In some cases they have only 1 SP and 2 or 3 RPs. Well that is an automatic loss. As you know if you do not get 35 innings pitched you lose all pitching stats. This means you lose 11 categories. This is an automatic loss.
I HATE TO DO THIS BUT IF A MANAGER DOES NOT PLAY HIS TEAM FROM HERE ON THEY WILL BE LOCKED OUT AND REPLACED NEXT YEAR. NO HARD FEELINGS BUT THIS IS NOT THE LEAGUE TO JOIN AND LOOK AT YOUR TEAM OCCASIONALLY. THAT IS NO FUN FOR ANYONE WHEN THERE ARE SEVERAL TEAMS IN THE LEAGUE THAT DO THIS. LET ME STATE THIS IS NOT ABOUT WIN LOSS RECORD BUT ABOUT SIMPLY NOT PLAYING YOUR TEAM.

KEEPER VERIFICATION !!!!!!

I am not done setting up everything. I still have to set to the funds up and the trades. First I want everyone to look at their keepers and check if there are any changes they want. Remember you can keep up to 7 batters and up to 7 pitchers but cannot exceed 10 players. Some of you have set 15 keepers. I need this by tomorrow, Saturday. This happens every year. A week later someone wants to change their keepers. Not fair to the rest of the league if they are preparing for the draft. So everyone has until tomorrow to check their team after that whatever you have you are stuck with. Also you cannot view the keepers on a phone app. You have to use a web browser on your phn or use a computer. You can email me use the messenger use Facebook messenger or txt or call me, 304-208-1929. Whatever you chose no problem but do it by tomorrow.

ATTENTION ALL MANAGERS

If anyone ever drops a player by accident and wants the player back on your team message me and I will take the player you picked up and drop him for you and take the dropped player put back on your team that you dropped by accident. Here is the stipulation you must immediately contact me. Everything has a date and time stamp if it is 2 minuets after the player is dropped that you contacted me I will take care of it. However if any of the players are in a game that has just started I may not be able to do anything. Do not abuse it. I have had managers that accidentally dropped the wrong player no sweat. I will do what I can no promises though.

League Rules

REMEMBER TO LOOK AT THE LEAGUE SETTINGS
Each manager is responsible himself/herself for knowing the rules and how the league works. If there are any questions please ask.

LEAGUE SETTINGS
This is a KEEPER League that AUCTION Drafts. There are 2 different funds given. Funds for Keepers and funds for Drafting. Both are separate from each other. The Keeper funds given are $200. The Draft funds are $100.


Players, Positions, and Requirements

Each team will have a total Active roster of 20 players. The starters every night C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, LF, CF, RF, Util, SP, RP, P, P. The Bench will be comprised of 7 players BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, also 4 IL and 2 N/A.

Draft, Keepers, and Draft Funds

The draft is an Auction Draft. Each manager is given $100 to draft with. Each team will be comprised of 20 players. Each manager may keep up to 7 pitchers, 7 batters not to exceed 10 player total. Each Player has a Keeper Dollar Value placed on them. The value is set by Yahoo. Each manager is given $200 to use for their keepers. If a given manager goes over the $200 keeper limit with the keepers they have chosen the overage will be ducted from their draft funds. However, if a manager has any funds left ½ of the excess keeper funds will be added to their draft funds.

Remember: A manager can trade from 1 to 10 players predraft but only 1 trade with each team. If you keep 10 players you can trade still up to 2 player. This would total 12 players. A trade does not count as a keepers. Example; if you keep 9 players and trade 1 player that is only 9 keepers. You must keep 10 player from your current roster and then you will be able to trade extra 2 bonus players. This would help you with less players you will have draft.
Being that this is an AUCTION DRAFT the draft order is randomly chosen by Yahoo.

Please remember to set all keepers correctly by the posted date. All keepers will be forfeited if not set correctly by the posted date. Setting correctly means no more than 7 pitchers and no more than 7 batters NOT TO EXCEED 10 TOTAL KEEPERS. (Yahoo is not able to pick your keepers for you they will all be forfeit if set wrong.

Pre-Draft Trade

What is a pre-Draft Trade? This is a trade made before the draft occurs. The trade must to be declared and accepted by both managers on the message board or chat and clearly accepted by both managers by the specified date. I have to manually put the traded players on each team according to the posted trade. The advantage to a Pre-draft trade is it will neither count as one of your keepers nor will it count against your draft or keeper funds.

SPECIAL RULE ADD / DROPS
One time during the season you can get 10 extra ADD/DROPS. It has to be no later than 2 weeks before end of the regular season and you must be totally out ADD/DROPS. It will cost you 20 ADD/DROPS from the season next year

ABOUT CHANGES IN THE LEAGUE

I WENT AND LOOKED AT WHAT EVERYONE WANTED FROM LAST YEAR. SOME EMAILS SOME POST IN GROUP. ALSO MESSAGED SEVERAL OF YOU THIS YEAR, 7 MANAGERS. THE CURRENT ADD ARE 80 BUT IF YOU TAKE INTO ACCOUNT YOU ONLY GET 9 ADDs FOR PLAYOFFs THIS IS REALLY LIKE 71 TOTAL FOR THE YEAR. THIS MEANT EACH TEAM CAN MAKE AN AVERAGE OF 3.94 ADD A WEEK. AS YOU KNOW THERE IS ALWAYS A PERIOD WHERE THEIR ARE A LOT OF INJURIES. THIS CAN CAUSE YOU TO USE THE MAX ADD PER WEEK, 8, FOR 2 TO 3 WEEKS. SO I THINK I WILL LEAVE THE ADDs ALONE.

ALSO CONCERNING THE ROSTER SIZE. IT SEEMED LIKE IT MAY STRESS SOME OF THE MANAGERS IF WE DECREASE THE ROSTER SIZE BY 1 PLAYER. THE BIGGEST CONCERN WAS BEING ABLE TO MAKE THE INNINGS PITCHED. I WENT AND LOOKED UP THE FIRST ½ OF THE SEASON LAST YEAR AND FOUND ONLY 3 TIME WHEN MANAGERS DID NOT GET ENOUGH INNINGS PITCHED AND THIS WAS BECAUSE MANAGERS DID NOT PUT THEIR PLAYERS IN. I MYSELF AM FOR REDUCING THE ROSTER BY 1 PLAYER BUT I BELIEVE IT WOULD BECOME NOT SO FUN ANYMORE FOR SOME MANAGERS. THERE HAS ALSO BEEN SOME REQUEST FOR AN EXTRA IL. I AM NOT FOR THAT UNLESS WE REDUCE THE ROSTER SIZE. HOWEVER THERE IS MORE THAT WANT THE EXTRA IL SO I WILL ADD AN EXTRA IL.
MAYBE INTO THE SEASON WE CAN START TAKING SURVEYS AS TO WHAT NEEDS TO BE CHANGED FOR NEXT YEAR. SO PLEASE RESPOND TO THESE WHEN THEY ARE POSTED.
