    • Contributes in Friday's start
Myers went 1-for-3 with a walk, a double, a run scored and a stolen base in Friday's 3-2 loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Seeing his first action in July, Myers chased Drew Thorpe from the game with a seventh-inning double before scoring the Marlins' first run of the night. The 28-year-old outfielder is beginning to see his playing time tick up, and he's taking advantage -- Myers has started three of the last eight games while also coming off the bench in a fourth, going 4-for-12 (.333) during that brief stretch with three of his five doubles and two of his three steals on the season. With Miami desperate for offense, manager Skip Schumaker could write Myers' name on the lineup card more frequently heading into the All-Star break. Rotowire.com Today, 7:52 am

    • Alek Thomas hits grand slam in close loss to Padres
Alek Thomas hit a pinch-hit grand slam in a loss to the Padres on Friday.

Advice: Thomas came in with the bases loaded in a 7-2 game, and he turned that into a 7-6 nailbiter with one swing of the bat. The 24-year-old has just his second homer of the season, but keep in mind he missed three months while a hamstring strain. A friendly reminder of the talent, but Thomas is a tough recommend in redraft formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:59 pm

    • Alex Verdugo goes 0-for-5 in defeat
Alex Verdugo went 0-for-5 with two strikeouts as the Yankees’ cleanup hitter Friday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Verdugo homered in his first game against his former team last month, but that’s the only homer he’s hit in five weeks since May 29. He’s hitting a modest .244/.301/.392 for the season, and he’s fortunate Jasson Dominguez’s oblique injury has left the Yankees with no quality replacements for him in left field. • Lifts grand slam
Thomas went 1-for-4 with a grand slam in Friday's 10-8 loss to the Padres.

Advice: Thomas' blast erased most of a five-run deficit in the ninth inning. It was the outfielder's second homer in seven games this season, as he missed three months with a hamstring injury. He's added eight RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored. Thomas has reclaimed a starting role in center field since his return, though he may sit out against the occasional left-handed starter, as the Diamondbacks have two right-handed-hitting outfielders in Lourdes Gurriel and Randal Grichuk. • Miguel Andujar hits solo blast in loss to Orioles
Miguel Andujar homered in a loss to the Orioles on Friday.

Advice: Andujar tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homer in the first inning. The former Yankee prodigy has gone deep three times while driving in 16 runs over his 144 at-bats while slashing .292/.318/.403. That’s far from elite in a relatively small sample, but it’s been good enough for Andujar to be the subject of trade rumors as of late. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:15 pm

    • Spencer Steer goes deep in Friday’s loss to Tigers
Spencer Steer went 2-for-4 with a homer and two RBI on Friday night as the Reds fell to the Tigers in the opening game of their three-game weekend series.

Advice: Steer got the Reds on the board in the fifth inning with a mammoth 425-foot (106.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Reese Olson. He also plated a run with an RBI single off of Jason Foley in the ninth inning and scored on Nick Martini’s RBI triple. With his two-hit attack, the dynamic 26-year-old is now slashing .242/.334/.427 with 12 homers, 56 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:37 pm

    • Dane Myers scores lone run in loss to White Sox
Dane Myers went 1-for-3 with a double and a run scored in Friday night’s loss to the White Sox.

Advice: Myers drew a two-out walk off of Drew Thorpe in the second inning and swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but he was left stranded there. He then smacked a one-out double in the seventh inning and raced around to score on an RBI knock off the bat of Xavier Edwards. The 28-year-old outfielder is now hitting is now hitting .239/.312/.388 with one homer, 11 RBI and three stolen bases in 77 plate appearances on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:10 pm

    • Getting Friday off
Bauers isn't in the Brewers' lineup for Friday's game versus the Dodgers.

Advice: Rhys Hoskins will get the nod at first base while Bauers sits for the second game in a row Friday, opening up the DH spot for Christian Yelich while Jackson Chourio starts in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:17 pm
