    • Four hits in win
Arenado went 4-for-5 with a double and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Arenado had one of his best games of the season. Even with his four hits, he remains cold in terms of run production -- he has just two RBI over his last 14 contests. For the year, he's at a .265/.317/.377 slash line with seven home runs, 34 RBI, 32 runs scored, 14 doubles and a stolen base over 81 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:13 am

    • Sitting again Saturday
Amaya isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game versus the Angels.

Advice: Saturday will mark the fourth time in five games that Amaya has sat down in favor of Tomas Nido, who will draw the start at catcher and bat ninth. The two backstops are still likely to split reps behind the plate going forward, though it appears Nido has emerged as the preferred option. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:51 am

    • Parker Meadows made swing adjustment in minors
Parker Meadows told Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press that he made a swing adjustment at Triple-A Toledo to keep his hands up longer to be more direct to the ball.

Advice: Meadows swing adjustment was on display Friday when he launched a 410-foot solo homer off Reds rookie Carson Spiers in his return to the majors. The 24-year-old possesses an intriguing power/speed combination for fantasy purposes and if he’s unlocked something with his swing, he could be poised to make a five-category impact in the second half of the season. He’s at least worthy of a speculative pickup in deeper mixed leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:21 am

    • Collects eighth save
Kopech gave up a run on two hits and a walk over 1.1 innings Friday to record his eighth save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Marlins. He struck out one.

Advice: With two on and two outs in the ninth inning, Kopech gave up an RBI single to Bryan De La Cruz, but he then got Josh Bell to ground out to escape the jam. Kopech isn't exactly locked in right now, stumbling to a 6.91 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and 19:7 K:BB over his last 14.1 innings while blowing three of six save chances, but the White Sox seem content to deploy him at the team's closer for now, perhaps in an effort to increase his trade value. • Finishes off Yankees
Rafaela went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Friday's 5-3 extra-inning win over the Yankees.

Advice: Rafaela put the final touch on the Yankees, as the Red Sox hit two-run home runs in the ninth and 10th innings to steal a win at Yankee Stadium. It was the 10th homer for Rafaela, whose slow start to the season is in the past. The young outfielder/shortstop is batting .348/.375/.522 with five doubles, a triple, three home runs, 16 RBI and three steals over the last 24 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:15 am

    • Notches 17th save
Jansen gave up a hit in a scoreless 10th inning Friday to record his 17th save of the season in a 5-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: The veteran closer is on an impressive roll. Jansen has been scored upon only once in his last 14 appearances, racking up two wins and 10 saves on 10 chances over that stretch with a 0.61 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 14.2 innings. The 36-year-old isn't as dominant as he was during his Dodgers heyday, but Jansen is still finding ways to be effective and has yet to serve up a home run in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:48 am
    • Returns with home run
Meadows went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-4 win over the Reds.

Advice: Making his first MLB appearance since May 6, Meadows promptly blasted his third home run of the season. The 24-year-old struggled in his first stint with the Tigers this year, batting just .096 across 32 games before getting demoted. The team is hoping his time in the minors corrected some issues, and Meadows should get plenty of opportunities in center field moving forward, particularly due to his strong defense. If he can get his bat going, Meadows could develop into a fantasy asset down the stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:25 am

    • Ceddanne Rafaela homers in 10th to lead Red Sox
After Masataka Yoshida’s homer tied it in the ninth, Ceddanne Rafaela hit a two-run homer in the 10th to propel the Red Sox past the Yankees 5-3 on Friday.

Advice: Yoshida hit a game-tying homer off Clay Holmes, and Rafaela followed with a go-ahead blast off Tommy Kahnle in the 10th. It was Rafaela’s 10th homer, which is impressive for a 23-year-old with such middling exit velocity numbers. Better plate discipline would be nice, but since Rafaela has proved adept at shortstop and in center field, he seems like a long to become a long-term regular. Rotoworld Friday, 10:58 pm

    • Kenley Jansen throws scoreless 10th for save
Kenley Jansen worked a scoreless 10th inning for his 17th save Friday against the Yankees.

Advice: Working with a two-run lead, Jansen allowed a single but still prevented the automatic runner from scoring in a 5-3 game. It’s his ninth straight scoreless appearance, and his ERA currently stands at 2.08. Rotoworld Friday, 10:58 pm
