McCormick went 1-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run scored Wednesday against the White Sox.
Advice: McCormick was in the lineup because Houston was facing lefty Garret Crochet, though he remains on the small-side of a platoon with Trey Cabbage. As a result, McCormick has started only six of the team's last 10 games, during which he's hit .250 with one home run, five RBI and five runs scored. Rotowire.comToday, 6:57 am
Langford went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBI and a stolen base in a 5-3 victory versus the Mets on Wednesday.
Advice: Langford logged an RBI on a bases-loaded hit-by-pitch in the first inning and added a run-scoring single in the sixth. The rookie finished with his sixth multi-hit effort in June and pushed his batting average up to .288 on the month. That's a nice improvement after Langford batted just .222 coming into June, and the added hits have helped him become more of a run producer. Of Langford's 24 RBI on the season, 11 have come across his 16 contests this month. Rotowire.comYesterday, 10:43 pm
Duran went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two steals in a 7-3 win over the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Advice: Duran hit a solo home run off Kevin Gausman in the fifth inning then added an RBI single and a steal in the sixth. He later stole another base after reaching on a fielder's choice in the eighth. Duran extended his hitting streak to 10 games and has hit .356 with three homers and eight steals in June. On the season, he is hitting .277 with six home runs and 19 steals hitting leadoff for the Red Sox. Rotowire.comYesterday, 8:54 pm
Jarren Duran went 2-for-5 with a home run, two RBI, and two stolen bases against the Blue Jays on Wednesday.
Advice: Duran’s long ball gave the Red Sox a lead and they wouldn’t let go as he continued his do-it-all season in this one. He’s pacing for about 15 homers, 40 steals, 100 runs scored, and 70 RBI in what would be a phenomenal year for the young outfielder. RotoworldYesterday, 7:11 pm
Lane Thomas drew a walk and scored a run on Wednesday as the Nationals triumphed over the Diamondbacks in Washington.
Advice: The 28-year-old outfielder worked a two-out walk off of Brandon Pfaadt in the sixth inning and then rode home on Jesse Winker’s go-ahead two-run blast. He finished the afternoon hitless in three at-bats. On the season, the dynamic outfielder is slashing just .228/.292/.386, though he has slugged seven homers and stolen 16 bases (in 20 attempts). Garver is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Guardians.
Advice: Garver and Mitch Haniger seem to have settled into a timeshare at the designated hitter spot of late, and it'll be the latter's turn to start Wednesday after Garver was included in the lineup for Tuesday's 8-5 win. The Mariners should have room for both players in the starting nine versus left-handed pitching, but neither of the two appears to be locked into a full-time role versus righties at the moment. Garver went 2-for-5 with an RBI fielder's choice, a run-scoring double and another two-bagger in a win over the Guardians on Tuesday.
Advice: Garver pushed the Mariners' lead to 4-1 in the third inning with his first two-bagger of the night, which plated Cal Raleigh. The former would eventually lace another double, but his second RBI came on his seventh-inning groundout that brought home Ty France. Garver is still sitting on a profoundly disappointing .179 average but has driven in 13 runs over his last 13 games. That's a stretch in which he's laced eight of his 10 hits for extra bases while posting a .294 average and .929 OPS across 20 plate appearances with men in scoring position. Logan Webb allowed two runs over seven innings on Tuesday in a no-decision against the Cubs.
Advice: Webb coughed up a two-run homer to Dansby Swanson in the second inning on Tuesday evening at Wrigley Field, but managed to keep Chicago’s potent lineup off the scoreboard into the late stages of this one. He struck out five and only issued one walk. The 27-year-old righty has completed six frames in eight consecutive starts since May 10. He’ll bring a solid 2.99 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 82/21 K/BB ratio across 99 1/3 innings (16 starts) into a rematch on Monday against the Cubs back at Oracle Park. RotoworldYesterday, 2:55 am
Hayes went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Tuesday against the Reds.
Advice: Hayes tallied the Pirates' only run with a solo home run in the seventh inning -- his third of the season. The performance also extended his hitting streak to a modest five games, though he has no multi-hit performances in that span to go along with only two RBI and two runs scored. Hayes has a disappointing .084 ISO across 215 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.comTuesday, 10:59 pm
