    • Josh Hader fans two in non-save situation vs. M’s
Josh Hader struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning on Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: Hader got the call to protect a four-run advantage in a non-save situation and made things interesting by giving up singles to Julio Rodríguez and Ty France before striking out Dominic Canzone and getting Mitch Haniger to ground out to extinguish the threat. The 30-year-old lefty has allowed just two runs with a 20/4 K/BB ratio across 11 appearances since the start of May. Simply put, he remains one of the few elite closers in the fantasy landscape. • Improves to 6-0 in May
Gil (7-1) picked up the win Wednesday over the Angels, allowing one run on two hits and two walks while striking out nine over eight frames.

Advice: Gil continued his fantastic start to the campaign Wednesday, allowing just one hit over the first six innings before surrendering a solo home run to Logan O'Hoppe in the seventh. The right-hander produced 15 whiffs on the night while posting at least eight strikeouts for the third consecutive outing. Gil has now logged six quality starts in a row and improved to 6-0 in May after the win over Los Angeles. Over that stretch, he carries a ridiculous 0.70 ERA to go along with a 44:12 K:BB. Wednesday also marked his longest outing of the season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:10 am

    • Lit up for seven runs
Allen (6-3) took the loss against the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks over 1.2 innings while striking out one.

Advice: Allen gave up one run on an infield single in the opening frame before getting obliterated in the second inning, beginning with a single from Elehuris Montero and ending with an RBI double from Elias Diaz. The lefty was then relieved by Eli Morgan with just two outs in the frame, marking his shortest outing of the season. It was actually Allen's second time this month in which he allowed seven runs in a start, while the loss also snapped a streak of three consecutive wins for the second-year pitcher. • Luis Gil dominant again in win over Angels
Luis Gil held the Angels to one run with nine strikeouts over eight innings to earn the win on Wednesday.

Advice: Gil was outstanding once again, holding the Angels to one run over eight frames. He allowed just two hits and two walks, giving up a solo homer to Logan O’Hoppe in the seventh inning. He struck out nine. It was the fifth consecutive start for Gil with at least six innings and no more than one run allowed. The 25-year-old right-hander will take an excellent 1.99 ERA, 0.95 WHIP, and a 79/31 K/BB ratio across 63 1/3 innings into a start against the Twins in New York on Tuesday. • Logan Allen hit for seven runs in loss to Rockies
Logan Allen allowed seven runs over 1 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies in Wednesday.

Advice: Allen gave up a run on a walk and a base hit in the first inning. He then could not escape the second as the Rockies brought six more runs in to score, including a two-run homer by Brendan Rodgers, chasing Allen from the game with two outs at 59 pitches. The 25-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 5.83 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and a 51/20 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings. Allen is in line for a start against the Royals in Cleveland next Wednesday. • Reaches 10-homer mark
Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run, an RBI double and two total runs scored in Wednesday's 6-1 win over the Twins.

Advice: Perez has hit safely in five straight games, going 6-for-21 (.286) in that span. The homer was his first since May 20 and his 10th of the year. He also crossed the 40-RBI mark Wednesday, getting him past halfway to matching his total of 80 RBI over 140 contests last year. The catcher is slashing .325/.386/.537 through 55 games in 2024. • Francisco Lindor reaches twice in loss to Dodgers
Francisco Lindor went 1-for-4 with a run scored on Wednesday in the Mets’ loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Lindor showed zero ill effects, reaching base safely in two of his four plate appearances less than 24 hours after suffering a left index finger contusion during Tuesday’s doubleheader. It doesn’t appear that he’s going to wind up missing any time moving forward. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:29 pm
    • Jose Caballero getting night off on Wednesday
Jose Caballero is absent from the Rays’ starting lineup for Wednesday night’s tilt against the Athletics.

Advice: It looks to be just a routine night off for the speedy 27-year-old shortstop. Amed Rosario will start in his place and will bat seventh against Athletics’ right-hander Joey Estes on Wednesday evening in Tampa Bay. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:32 pm

    • Receives day off
Caballero is absent from the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Athletics, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Caballero will get a day off after striking out 23 times over his last 53 plate appearances. Amed Rosario will get the start at shortstop Wednesday while Caballero receives some rest. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:21 pm
