      Bello (6-2) earned the win Tuesday over the Orioles, allowing three runs on five hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out seven.

      Advice: Baltimore got to Bello early Tuesday by scoring three runs in the opening frame, before the right-hander settled in and blanked the Orioles over his subsequent four innings while allowing just one additional hit. It's the fifth win for Bello in his last six starts. His ERA sits at 4.18 through nine outings (47.1 innings) this year with a 1.18 WHIP and 44:15 K:BB.     • Merrill Kelly (shoulder) set to resume throwing
      Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Merrill Kelly (shoulder) will start a throwing program next week.

      Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo said Tuesday that Kelly (shoulder) is expected to begin a throwing program next week, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

      Advice: The right-hander has apparently been progressing well in his recovery from a right shoulder strain and is now on the cusp of resuming baseball work. Kelly will require some time to build his arm up before progressing to mound work and eventually a rehab assignment, so he shouldn't be expected to rejoin the Diamondbacks until sometime in July.     • Handed first loss
      Suarez (9-1) yielded five runs (four earned) on three hits and four walks over six innings Sunday, striking out nine and taking a loss against the Rockies.

      Advice: Colorado pounced on Suarez early, plating two runs in the first inning and another three in the second. He was able to settle in for four shutout frames to finish the start, but the damage was already done. It was the first time this season he's issued more than two walks or allowed more than three runs. On a more positive note, Suarez generated a season-high 19 whiffs and improved his K:BB to 77:16 through 72 frames.     • Earns seventh consecutive win
      Sale (8-1) picked up the victory Sunday against the Pirates, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Sale's scoreless inning streak was snapped at 21.2 innings, but that's about the only negative to take from his performance, as he continues to mow down the competition. It was the seventh straight start in which Sale has earned a win and the sixth consecutive outing in which he's allowed one or fewer runs. Sale, who has not been a beacon of health over recent seasons, has not missed a turn this season, already throwing more innings than in all but one season since 2019. Through 10 starts, Sale has a 2.12 ERA, 0.85 WHIP, 78 strikeouts and a K/BB rate of 8.7 over 63.2 innings.     • Ranger Suárez struggles with command in loss
      Ranger Suárez allowed five runs (four earned) on three hits in six innings in a loss to the Rockies on Sunday.

      Advice: Suárez struck out nine but also walked four and threw just 42 percent of pitches in the strike zone. He did rack up an impressive 39 percent whiff rate but he had just 12 called strikes on the day, compared to 19 whiffs. Given that this game was in Colorado, we can give Suárez a little bit of a pass; however, he might still be a solid sell-high candidate if a fantasy manager in your league values him as a top 20-25 starting pitcher the rest of the way.     • Chris Sale wins again after seven strong innings
      Chris Sale allowed just one earned run across seven innings in an 8-1 win for the Braves over the Pirates on Sunday. He struck out eight and walked none.

      Advice: The win was Sale’s eighth of the season. He’s pitching the best he has in at least five seasons and by some measures, as well as he has in his entire career. He’s striking out his highest percentage of batters since 2019 and walking the least he ever has! The Pirates got on him in the second inning for a run and then Sale proceeded to retire the next 12 batters he faced. He is once again an ace that can be relied on as such. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:32 pm

    • Blows second save
      Kopech (1-4) blew the save and took the loss Saturday, giving up three runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning as the White Sox fell 5-3 to the Orioles. He struck out one.

      Advice: Chicago rolled into the eighth inning with a 3-0 lead, but after Jordan Leasure served up a two-run homer to Ryan O'Hearn, Kopech got the call and threw more gas on the fire, getting taken deep himself by Anthony Santander and Jordan Westburg. Kopech has been tagged for five home runs in 23.2 innings this season, fueling a 4.18 ERA, and his issues keeping the ball in the park have followed him to the bullpen. He'll continue to get the majority of the save chances for the White Sox, but his reliability as a high-leverage reliever is still in question. Rotowire.com Sunday, 4:52 am

      Fedde came away with a no-decision in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Baltimore, allowing three hits and three walks over 6.1 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: The right-hander baffled the O's over 103 pitches (64 strikes) and left the mound with the White Sox ahead 3-0, only to see Jordan Leasure and Michael Kopech serve up three homers between them in the eighth inning. Fedde has delivered three scoreless outings in his last four starts, giving him five quality starts on the season, and he sports a stunning 2.80 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 58:18 K:BB through 64.1 innings -- a far cry from the 5.41 ERA and 1.52 WHIP he compiled in 454.1 innings for the Nationals prior to spending 2023 in the KBO.
