    • Records 10th save
Hader allowed one hit in a scoreless inning while striking out one batter to earn a save against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: It was a relatively easy outing for Hader, who entered in the ninth with Houston ahead by three runs. The veteran closer allowed a one-out single but was never in serious trouble. Hader has converted all 10 of his save chances since blowing his first opportunity of the campaign April 2 versus Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:57 pm

    • Strikes out six in win
Bello (7-4) earned the win against the Blue Jays on Wednesday, allowing two runs on seven hits and two walks with six strikeouts over six innings.

Advice: Bello threw three scoreless innings before loading the bases in the fourth, but he managed to limit the damage to two runs and responded with two more scoreless frames before leaving the game with a 5-2 lead. This was Bello's first quality start since May 22 and his best performance in June, as he surrendered 14 total runs over his first three June outings. On the season, Bello owns a 4.83 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 62:26 K:BB and lines tentatively lines up for a rematch with the Blue Jays next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:53 pm
    • Josh Hader locks down 10th save Wednesday
Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning with one strikeout to record the save against the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Hader was summoned to close out the game with a three-run lead in the ninth against the White Sox. He worked around a base hit, striking out one batter to end the game with his tenth save of the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:43 pm

    • Brayan Bello solid over six innings in win
Brayan Bello punched out six Red Sox across six innings on Wednesday in a 7-3 win over the Blue Jays. He walked two and allowed two earned runs on his way to securing the victory.

Advice: Bello showed a great approach in this one: leaning on his sinker and slider against right-handed batters while mixing those two with a heavy dose of changeups against lefties. He kept the ball on the edges and his velocity was up a tick across the board. The Blue Jays have made plenty of pitchers look great this season, but seeing Bello command his nasty arsenal is a welcome sight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
    • Homers for lone run
Reynolds went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 1-0 victory over the Reds.

Advice: Reynolds snapped a scoreless tie with two outs in the eighth inning, launching a Nick Martinez changeup over the center field fence to provide the only offense in a 1-0 Pirates win. The 29-year-old Reynolds has been red hot at the plate -- he extended his hit streak to 17 games, going 24-for-70 (.343) with 11 extra-base hits in that span. His slash line is up to .271/.337/.448 on the year with 10 homers, 40 RBI, 30 runs scored and five stolen bases across 332 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:02 pm

    • Settles for no-decision Wednesday
Suarez came away with a no-decision in Wednesday's 5-2 loss to the Padres, allowing one run on six hits over six innings. He struck out four without walking a batter.

Advice: The lefty was sharp as he delivered his 10th quality start of the season, firing 67 of 94 pitches for strikes, but he was locked in a pitchers' duel with Matt Waldron until the Phillies' bullpen and defense faltered after Suarez left the mound. The 28-year-old will take a 1.75 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 95:19 K:BB through 92.1 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road early next week in Detroit. • Belts eighth homer
Merrill went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Phillies.

Advice: The rookie center fielder accounted for the Padres' only run off Ranger Suarez, driving a two-seam fastball from the southpaw over the right-field wall in the second inning. Merrill has eight homers on the year, but five of them have come in the last seven games, boosting his slash line on the season to .279/.317/.417 with nine steals, 30 RBI and 32 runs in 74 contests. • Back on bench
Caballero is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Taylor Walls (illness) will return to the lineup at shortstop after missing the Rays' previous three games, leaving no room in the infield for Caballero. Though he's been an everyday player for most of the season and has racked up 22 stolen bases, Caballero looks like he could be limited to a part-time role now that Tampa Bay is back to full strength in the infield. • Jackson Merrill homers, Padres edge Phillies
Jackson Merrill went 2-for-3 with a solo homer on Wednesday, leading the Padres to a 5-2 victory over the Phillies.

Advice: Merrill kicked off the scoring in this one with a 401-foot second-inning blast to right field -- his eighth big fly of the season -- off Phillies starter Ranger Suárez. The 21-year-old rookie sensation has caught fire over the past few days, going deep a whopping five times over his last seven contests since June 12. He also was hit by a pitch in the seventh inning before coming around to score later in the frame on a run-scoring single from Luis Arraez. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:50 pm
