Altuve went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer, two runs and a stolen base in Sunday's 4-1 win over the Tigers.
Advice: With two men on and two out in the second inning, Altuve took Kenta Maeda deep for his 11th long ball of the season. He added another hit and when he reached on a walk in the eighth he picked up his 10th stolen base of the campaign. It was Altuve's second home run in his last seven games after a streak of 17 games without a blast. The second baseman's has been hot as of late, hitting .333 in June and for the season he's slashing a healthy .299/.350/.460. Rotowire.comToday, 1:55 pm
Ian Happ went 2-for-3 with a double, walk, run scored, and stolen base on Sunday against the Cardinals.
Advice: Happ, like the rest of the Cubs, has not been hitting his best of late. He ignited both of their mini rallies in this one, scoring their only run and making Ryan Helsley sweat in the ninth inning. Hopefully this can jump start a hot streak in what’s been a mediocre season. RotoworldToday, 1:05 pm
Turner is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.
Advice: George Springer will get the start at DH as Addison Barger takes over in right field against right-hander Ben Lively. Age has caught up to Turner in a hurry -- he's slashing .225/.314/.345 with four home runs this season -- and the veteran will likely continue to receive regular rest days as the Blue Jays work in newcomers like Barger and Spencer Horwitz. Murphy is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rays.
Advice: Murphy will rest for the series finale after he started behind the plate Friday and Saturday while going 2-for-7 with a walk and a run scored. Travis d'Arnaud will garner the start at catcher Sunday. Rotowire.comToday, 8:07 am
Morton (4-3) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.
Advice: Morton had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 22 whiffs among his 105 pitches. The veteran hurler fell behind by a run in the first inning but yielded only two hits while holding the Rays scoreless thereafter. This was a nice bounce-back for Morton after he surrendered five runs (four earned) over five innings against Washington in his previous start. Saturday's victory was his first since May 10, and it was just his second quality start across six outings during that span. Rotowire.comYesterday, 9:19 pm
Charlie Morton allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a win over the Rays on Saturday.
Advice: Morton looked like his old self, striking out eight and walking two. He induced 22 whiffs on 49 swings for a ridiculous 45 percent whiff rate and 35 percent CSW. It was perhaps the 40-year-old’s best start of the season, and he’ll look to keep it going next week in a tough showdown against the Yankees. RotoworldYesterday, 7:02 pm
Happ went 2-for-3 with a walk and a three-run home run in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Cardinals.
Advice: The 29-year-old outfielder took John King deep in the seventh inning, Happ's first homer in June. The performance snapped a 1-for-24 slump over his prior seven games, and on the season he's slashing .218/.328/.376 over 65 contests with seven homers, five steals, 32 runs and 33 RBI. Lange was removed from an appearance at Triple-A Toledo on Friday due to an upper-body injury, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Advice: Lange made the Tigers' Opening Day roster and owned a 4.34 ERA in 18.2 innings before being sent to Toledo. He signaled to the dugout immediately after throwing a pitch Saturday and was grabbing at his side. Lange underwent an MRI on Saturday, and while the Tigers have yet to reveal the results of the test, early indications are that Lange sustained a severe injury. Rotowire.comYesterday, 5:33 pm
Harris has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and there isn't a timetable for his return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports Saturday.
Advice: Harris was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after sustaining a strained hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. An MRI revealed that Harris' strain is Grade 2, which means he'll likely be sidelined for more than the minimum 10 days. Ramon Laureano was called up to take Harris' 26-man roster spot.
