    • Dakota Hudson gives up five runs to White Sox
      Dakota Hudson yielded five runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Pitching on the road against the White Sox is pretty much the easiest assignment Hudson is going to get as a member of the Rockies, but he messed it up by walking five and hitting a batter.     • Struggles with command in loss
      Hudson (2-11) took the loss Friday versus the White Sox, allowing five runs on six hits and five walks over five innings. He struck out three.

      Advice: The Colorado righty failed to find the strike zone as his five free passes matched a season worst previously reached April 13 and June 16. Hudson finishes off a poor June, during which he made five starts, going 0-4 with a 7.77 ERA, 1.52 WHIP and 13:14 K:BB across 24.1 innings. Things don't get much easier for him as he's currently scheduled to face the Brewers -- a team collectively sporting a 113 wRC+ against righties -- at home in his next outing.     • Carves up Pirates in victory
      Morton (5-4) earned the win Friday against Pittsburgh, throwing 6.1 scoreless innings with seven strikeouts. He allowed three hits and one walk.

      Advice: The 40-year-old looked sharp over a 104-pitch outing, generating 15 whiffs -- including seven on his curveball alone -- to collect seven punchouts. Morton wrapped a successful June, firing a 3.10 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 28:13 K:BB across 29 innings. The Atlanta right-hander is slated to face the Giants at home in his next start.     • Charlie Morton excellent against Pirates in win
      Charlie Morton held the Pirates scoreless through 6 1/3 innings on Friday in a 6-1 win. He struck out seven and walked one.

      Advice: Morton made his old team pay on Friday night as he dropped curveball after curveball on Pittsburgh’s lineup. This was also the first time Morton walked one or fewer since May 10th against the Mets (pre-Grimace) as he flashed especially good command with his sparsely thrown cutter.     • Steals, reaches three times in win
      Marsh went 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a stolen base in a 2-0 win over the Marlins on Friday.

      Advice: Marsh doubled in the second inning and walked and stole second in the fourth. He later walked again in the eighth and has reached base seven times in his past two starts with a home run and a steal. With recent injuries to Bryce Harper (hamstring) and Kyle Schwarber (groin), the lefty was in the cleanup spot Friday night and will likely continue to hit in the middle of the order against right-handed pitching while they remain on the injured-list.     • Brandon Marsh reaches three times in win on Friday
      Brandon Marsh doubled, drew a pair of walks and stole a base as the Phillies triumphed over the Marlins on Friday evening in Philadelphia.

      Advice: Marsh led off the second inning with a double and advanced to third on a fly ball but was left stranded there. He then drew a one-out walk off of Kyle Tyler in the fourth inning and swiped second base to get himself into scoring position, but the Phillies were unable to cash him in.       Michael Harris II (hamstring) has been throwing and taking swings but has yet to be cleared to resume running.

      Advice: The dynamic 23-year-old outfielder is making progress in his recovery from a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, but it’s hard to put a clear timetable on a potential return to the Braves’ lineup until he starts running again.       Harris (hamstring) has not yet been cleared to begin a running program, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Harris is two weeks removed from suffering a Grade 2 left hamstring strain, and while he's feeling better, it's not yet to the point where he's able to do any running.       Minter (hip) is scheduled to pitch during a game with Triple-A Gwinnett on Sunday, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Sunday's appearance could be Minter's last before being activated from the 15-day injured list. While he's allowed two runs (one earned) across two minor-league innings, he's only surrendered one hit.
