    • Berrios picks up seventh win over Yankees Thursday
      Jose Berrios allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Blue Jays’ 9-2 victory over the Yankees on Thursday.



      Advice: Berrios gave up two hits, walked three and struck out eight. The win was his seventh of the year and second in June. The eight strikeouts were a season-high for Berrios. His struggles with the home run continued as he has allowed a home run in each of his last five starts and 11 of his last 12 starts. Both runs Berrios allowed came on the two-run home run he gave up to Trent Grisham in the fifth inning. He has a 3.38 ERA and 4.34 xFIP on the season. The 30-year-old right-hander is set to face the Astros at home next week.

    • Garcia blasts 15th home run in loss Thursday
      Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.

    • Luis Robert homers to give White Sox 1-0 victory
      Luis Robert went 2-for-3 with a homer in a victory over Atlanta on Thursday in the first game of a doubleheader.

      Advice: Robert’s homer was not only the only run Chris Sale allowed and not only the only run for the White Sox, it was the only run scored by either team Thursday. The 26-year-old has homered eight times in his 103 at-bats while driving in 12 runs. Robert Jr. has enormous fantasy potential, but it sure would be nice to see him playing for a team that had a semblance of competence. Rotoworld Today, 4:55 pm

      Stott is absent from the lineup for Thursday's game versus the Marlins.

      Advice: Stott was out of the lineup Tuesday against a lefty and will also begin this one on the bench as the Marlins send southpaw Trevor Rogers to the hill.       Advice: Top backstop Korey Lee is getting a breather for the day game after he started at catcher in each of the previous three days, so Maldonado will get a turn behind the plate. Maldonado is valued for his defense, but with an .088/.140/.132 slash line and a minus-24 wRC+, he's been the league's least-productive hitter among all players with at least 100 plate appearances this season.       Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox while also drawing two walks.

      Advice: For the second game in a row, Ohtani crushed a leadoff home run to open the contest, giving the superstar slugger 25 long balls on the season and 11 in the month of June. He's now homered in five of his last six games and has posted at least one RBI in 10 straight, raising his league-leading average to .322 on the campaign.       Chourio went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 6-5 extra-inning win over the Rangers.

      Advice: Chourio showcased his blazing speed Wednesday, notching his second inside-the-parker of 2024 in the fourth inning after Derek Hill misplayed Chourio's line drive to center field.       Advice: Ohtani took Erick Fedde deep to lead off the first inning, setting a Dodgers record with an RBI in 10 straight games. He then drew a walk in the third and scored on a double by Freddie Freeman. Ohtani walked once again in the seventh to reach for the third time. The 29-year-old superstar is slashing .322/.402/.643 with 25 homers, 65 runs scored, 61 RBI, and 16 steals across 360 plate appearances as we reach the midway point of the season.
