    • Racks up three hits in loss
O'Neill went 3-for-4 in Friday's 4-1 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: O'Neill went just 3-for-27 over his last seven games before the All-Star break, though that came after he began July with three multi-hit efforts. The outfielder is now at a .260/.353/.496 slash line with 16 home runs, 31 RBI, 49 runs scored, three stolen bases and 12 doubles over 69 contests this season. O'Neill continues to hold down a starting role in Boston's outfield, though he has just seven homers over his last 50 games after beginning the year with nine long balls in 19 contests. • Two doubles, three RBI in win
Cruz went 3-for-5 with a pair of doubles, three RBI and two runs scored in Friday's 8-7 win over the Phillies.

Advice: Cruz got the Pirates on the board with an RBI double in the first inning. He'd add another RBI in the seventh before driving in a third run in the ninth with a fielder's choice that tied the game 7-7. The 25-year-old Cruz picked up where he left off before the All-Star break -- he's gone 16-for-45 (.356) over his last 12 games with seven extra-base hits and 13 RBI in that span. The shortstop is now slashing .252/.304/.447 on the season with 14 homers, 47 RBI, 43 runs scored and seven steals across 86 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm

    • Juan Soto goes 4-for-4, scores three times in win
Juan Soto went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a walk and three runs scored as the Yankees topped the Rays 6-1 on Friday.

Advice: The first double turned into a Little League homer after an error and some laziness from Randy Arozarena and a second error from José Caballero, who hit Soto with his relay to third. Soto has 12 hits in his last six games, putting him back up to .303/.433/.569 for the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:20 pm
    • Shaky to start second half
Nola didn't factor into the decision Friday against the Pirates, allowing four runs on six hits and a walk over five innings. He struck out four.

Advice: After the Phillies jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning, Pittsburgh responded with three straight hits off Nola in the bottom half before tying the game 3-3. Nola would ultimately hold the Pirates to just one additional run over his final four innings in an eventual no-decision. The 31-year-old right-hander had delivered five straight quality starts prior to the All-Star break, working to a 3.13 ERA in that span (31.2 innings). Overall, Nola is 11-4 with a 3.54 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 120:28 K:BB across 124.2 innings this season. Nola's currently lined up for a road matchup with the Twins in his next outing. • Knocks four base hits
Soto went 4-for-4 with two doubles, three runs scored and a walk in Friday's victory over the Rays.

Advice: The Yankees superstar was the offensive catalyst in the team's 6-1 win over Tampa Bay, reaching base in all five of his plate appearances. With this performance, Soto collected his second four-hit game in New York; the other happened against the White Sox on May 18. The free-agent-to-be is now slashing .303/.433/.569 with 23 homers, 78 runs scored and 66 RBI across 432 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:36 pm
    • Jake Burger homers, doubles in win
Jake Burger went 2-for-4 with a home run, double, two runs scored, and two RBI in a 6-4 win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Possibly auditioning for a new team, Burger was all over Sean Manaea in this one. His double was scorched at 114.0 MPH and his home run put a bow on Manaea’s outing. He’s slowly put a disastrous first chunk of the season behind him with eight homers and a 114 wRC+ since May 24th. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm

    • Oneil Cruz smokes two doubles, drives in tying run
Oneil Cruz went 3-for-5 with two doubles, two runs scored, and three RBI in the Pirates’ dramatic come from behind victory on Friday over the Phillies.

Advice: Cruz was everywhere in this one. He started the party with a jaw-dropping 120.5 MPH double in the first inning. It wasn’t even a bad pitch, Cruz just used his long arms to go down and turn around a changeup right over the center fielders head. Cruz has the only other batted ball this season hit harder than 120 MPH.Fast forward to the ninth inning where he smoked a chopper 103.0 MPH that forced a bad throw from Bryson Stott and allowed the tying run to score. Regular players don’t hit choppers that hard and Cruz’s otherworldly power forced an awkward play that put the Pirates in position to win this game. There isn’t another player in baseball like him. • Aaron Nola uneven against Pirates
Aaron Nola allowed six hits and four earned runs across five innings on Friday against the Pirates. He struck out four and walked one in a no-decision.

Advice: Nola clearly came back rusty from the All-Star break as each of the first three batters he faced smacked the ball at least 104 MPH. They put up three runs in the blink of an eye and Nola had to work very hard to keep this game in check from that point forward. His knuckle-curve missed bats as usual, but his overall command was poor and it led to a poor outing overall. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:02 pm
    • Absent from Friday's lineup
Murphy is not in the lineup for Friday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: Murphy sat out the final game before the All-Star break and will also begin the first contest after the break on the bench. Travis d'Arnaud will do the catching for Spencer Schwellenbach. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:12 pm
