    • Cranks three-run homer
Riley went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and two walks in Saturday's 9-2 victory against the Rays.

Advice: Riley broke the game open in the seventh frame with his three-run shot to center field that gave Atlanta an 8-1 lead. It was the second straight contest with a long ball for the third baseman following a 23-game homerless stretch (and a 45-game span during which he went deep only once). Riley may finally be getting his power on track, but with just five long balls through 233 plate appearances, he'll be hard-pressed to reach 30 homers for the fourth straight season. • Bobby Witt Jr. steals 20th base of year in victory
Bobby Witt Jr. stole a base while going 2-for-5 in a victory for the Royals over the Dodgers on Saturday.

Advice: Witt Jr. also drove in a run with his single in the seventh, and it gave the Royals a 6-2 cushion. The star shortstop’s theft gives him 20 on the season, and there’s a good chance he’s going to pass the 49 swipes that he picked up in 2023. No one has helped fantasy managers fill categories more than Witt Jr. in 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:43 pm

    • Homers in win
O'Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 4-3 win over the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: O'Hoppe singled in the fourth inning then tied the game with a two-run home run off Keaton Winn in the sixth. O'Hoppe has gone 15-for-29 during an eight-game hit streak and now has an extra-base hit in six straight contests. On the season, O'Hoppe is slashing .284/.335/.476 with nine home runs and 31 RBI in 225 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:25 pm

    • Austin Riley homers against in win
Austin Riley went 1-for-2 with a home run and two walks in a win over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: That’s now homers in back-to-back games for Riley, who might be starting to wake up a bit. There wasn’t much under the hood that looked “off” with Riley this year, but he was being pitched differently and not being given much he could turn on, which had hurt his pull power. Perhaps it took him a while to adjust his approach to combat that, or perhaps it’s just two good games. Only time will tell, but it seems smart to bet on Riley. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:17 pm

    • Serious injury feared
Lange was removed from an appearance at Triple-A Toledo on Friday due to an upper-body injury, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Lange made the Tigers' Opening Day roster and owned a 4.34 ERA in 18.2 innings before being sent to Toledo. He signaled to the dugout immediately after throwing a pitch Saturday and was grabbing at his side. Lange underwent an MRI on Saturday, and while the Tigers have yet to reveal the results of the test, early indications are that Lange sustained a severe injury. • Logan O’Hoppe goes yard in win over Giants
Logan O’Hoppe went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to lead the Angels to a 4-3 win over the Giants on Saturday.

Advice: O’Hoppe knocked a base hit in the fourth inning, then took Keaton Winn deep for a two-run shot in the sixth to tie the game. The 24-year-old backstop is having a stellar season, slashing .284/.335/.476 with nine homers and 31 RBI across 225 plate appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:54 pm

    • Placed on paternity list
Heim was placed on the paternity list Saturday.

Advice: Heim will be away from the team for up to three days as he heads to his family for the birth of his third child. In the meantime, fellow catcher Sam Huff was called up from Triple-A Round Rock to replace him on the major-league roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:12 pm

    • Rangers place Jonah Heim on paternity list
Rangers placed C Jonah Heim on the paternity list.

Advice: The hard-hitting 28-year-old backstop will be away from the team for a few days to welcome a new addition to his family. Sam Huff was recalled from Triple-A Round Rock and will help share the load behind the plate while Heim is away. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:04 pm

    • Strikes out seven in win
Castillo (6-7) allowed two runs on four hits and a walk while striking out seven over six innings to earn the win over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Castillo received an extra day of rest after Emerson Hancock got a spot start Thursday. It looks like that was a good move, as Castillo was able to bounce back from his worst start of the year to earn his third quality start in his last four outings. He is now at a 3.32 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 92:24 K:BB over 89.1 innings through 15 starts. He's projected for a challenging road matchup versus the Guardians next week. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:22 pm
