    • LaMonte Wade Jr. (hamstring) hitless in rehab game
LaMonte Wade Jr. went 0-for-3 in his second appearance for Triple-A Sacramento on Tuesday.

Advice: Wade, coming back from a hamstring strain, is expected to play for the River Cats again today before the Giants decided whether to activate him from the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:02 am

    • Yields homer in non-save spot
Hader allowed a solo home run and a walk with three strikeouts during Tuesday's 5-2 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Hader stepped into the game for the ninth inning despite not being eligible for the save and gave up his first home run since June 9 to Michael Toglia. After a shaky start to 2024, Hader owns a 2.25 ERA with 30 strikeouts and eight saves over his last 19 appearances. He's also walking batters at his lowest clip since 2019, with 2.4 BB/9 in 2024. • Yields five runs in loss
Gore (6-7) allowed five runs on five hits and three walks while striking out one over five innings to take the loss Tuesday versus the Padres.

Advice: Gore struggled against the team that drafted him, as the Padres put up multiple runs in the first and fifth innings. He may have been rattled by the two teams clearing the benches in the first inning after Keibert Ruiz and Jurickson Profar exchanged words -- Gore's next pitch hit Profar on the back foot, and the one after that was crushed by Manny Machado for a two-run homer. The southpaw has lost three of his five starts in June, giving up 18 runs (17 earned) over 26.1 innings. He's now at a 3.81 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 99:28 K:BB through 85 innings across 16 starts on the year. Gore is projected to make his next start at home versus the Mets. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 10:57 pm
    • MacKenzie Gore gives up five runs, loses to Padres
MacKenzie Gore surrendered five runs in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Padres.

Advice: Gore was lucky not to be tossed at the beginning of this one, as he hit Jurickson Profar in the back leg with a pitch right after warnings were issued because of some thoroughly unnecessary jawing and a benches-clearing incident. Gore’s pitch, though, didn’t seem to be intentional. It did lead to an ejection anyway, as Padres manager Mike Shildt was ejected for taking issue with Gore not being tossed. Gore was a bit of a mess afterwards, walking three and striking out just one in the loss. Still, it’s probably not anything to worry about. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:13 pm
    • Freeman hits 12th homer in win over White Sox.
Freddie Freeman went 1-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in Tuesday’s win over the White Sox.

Advice: Freeman’s two-run blast in the third tied the game at 3-3 after Bobby Miller put the Dodgers in a deficit early. Freeman now has 12 home runs and 48 RBI on the season and is slashing a solid .338/.433/.650 in the month of June with six homers and 15 RBI. Rotoworld Tuesday, 8:35 pm
    • Sidelined at least four weeks
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Tuesday that Marte (knee) will be sidelined for "at least four weeks," Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Advice: Marte will be shut down for 15 days to allow a right knee bone bruise to heal and will need time to ramp things back up after that. A rehab assignment at some point before activation seems likely. Ben Gamel replaced Marte on the roster and could see some reps in right field, although DJ Stewart and Tyrone Taylor should be higher in the pecking order. Taylor is starting in right Tuesday after Stewart started there in the Mets' previous game Sunday. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 1:22 pm

    • Mendoza: Starling Marte (knee) to miss four weeks
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza told reporters Starling Marte (knee) is expected to miss at least four weeks.

Advice: It’s a significant loss for the Mets as Marte finally landed on the injured list ahead of Tuesday’s series opener against the Yankees after playing through a right knee issue for an extended period. The 35-year-old veteran corner outfielder has been diagnosed with a bone bruise and Mendoza indicated that it’ll be at least one month before he’s ready to return. That updated timeline means he’ll be sidelined until at least after next month’s All-Star break, if not longer. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:08 pm

    • Lands on IL with knee bone bruise
The Mets placed Marte on the 10-day injured list Tuesday with a right knee bone bruise.

Advice: Marte was given the diagnosis following an MRI and has been prescribed 15 days of rest. The hope is that he will be able to ramp back up after that point, but with two weeks of no activities, a return before the All-Star break seems unlikely. DJ Stewart and Tyrone Taylor will likely be the primary beneficiaries of Marte's absence. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:59 am

    • Mets place Starling Marte (knee) on 10-day IL
Mets placed OF Starling Marte on the 10-day injured list with a right knee bone bruise.

Advice: Marte picked up the knee injury Saturday against the Cubs, and he’s been told he needs to rest for at least 15 days before he can return to action. He could need a rehab assignment after, so Marte may not return until around the All-Star break. Ben Gamel is up to take Marte’s place on the roster. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:53 am
