    • Pete Alonso (hand) leaves game after hit-by-pitch
Pete Alonso was removed from Wednesday afternoon’s game against the Dodgers after being hit on the right hand by a pitch from James Paxton.

Advice: Paxton came up and in with a 93-mph fastball in the opening inning that clipped Alonso on his right hand. He’ll presumably head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage. All Mets’ fans and fantasy managers can do now is wait and hope for the best. The Mets should have an update on the 29-year-old slugger’s status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:25 pm

    • Jordan Westburg out Wednesday with bruised hand
Jordan Westburg is out of Wednesday’s lineup after getting hit on the right hand by a pitch Tuesday.

Advice: X-rays came back negative, and Westburg is day-to-day. The Orioles are using Ramón Urías at third base today. The 25-year-old was hit in the right hand by Red Sox start Brayan Bello in the sixth inning of Tuesday’s showdown, but managed to stay in the contest after a quick check from the Orioles’ training staff. • X-rays clean, but not in lineup
Westburg is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Red Sox due to a sore right hand, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: Westburg was hit in the hand by a pitch in Tuesday's 8-3 loss. Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said that X-rays on Westburg's hand came back negative, but the 25-year-old infielder will benefit from two full days of rest with Baltimore off Thursday. Ramon Urias will handle third base Wednesday in Westburg's stead. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:42 pm

    • Bullpen session scheduled
Eflin (back) will throw a bullpen session Thursday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Eflin has played catch twice since Sunday and will now advance to more intense work. His progress has been steady since he was placed on the injured list retroactive to May 19, though a firm target for his return has yet to be set. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:05 am

    • Another stellar showing
Peralta didn't factor into the decision Tuesday against the Cubs, allowing one run on three hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out 11.

Advice: Peralta got no run support again Tuesday, with the Brewers being held scoreless until the bottom of the ninth. Still, the 28-year-old generated 23 swinging strikes in less than six innings and tied his season high in Ks. His only blemish was a solo homer by Michael Busch in the third inning. After yielding three or more runs in three straight starts to open up May, Peralta has yielded two runs -- both solo homers -- with 18 strikeouts in 12.2 innings during his last two starts. He's set up for a start Sunday against the White Sox. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:29 am
    • Bryson Stott goes hitless against Giants
Bryson Stott, who didn’t start Monday, went 0-for-4 in the loss to the Giants on Tuesday.

Advice: Stott has run extremely hot and cold this season, posting a .559 OPS over his first 25 games and a 1.242 OPS over his subsequent 18 games. Now he’s back in another drought, having gone 2-for-28 in his last eight games. The good news is that he’s struck out just three times during that span. He still projects as a useful MI in mixed leagues going forward. Rotoworld Tuesday, 11:39 pm

    • Fills stat sheet in win
Fry went 3-for-5 with a three-run home run, a stolen base and three total runs scored in Tuesday's 13-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Fry has a pair of three-hits games over his last nine contests, going 13-for-26 (.500) with four homers, three steals and 11 RBI in that span. The utility man is on another level lately, though he's been strong throughout the campaign with a .357/.492/.622 slash line, seven homers, 23 RBI, 26 runs scored and four steals over 128 plate appearances. He's started three straight games in left field, but that avenue into the lineup will close when Steven Kwan (hamstring) returns from the injured list. Fry could compete for playing time with Kyle Manzardo at designated hitter or Bo Naylor at catcher, given both of those players' struggles at the plate. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:59 pm

    • David Fry goes 3-for-3, hits three-run homer
David Fry went 3-for-3 and hit a three-run homer Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: Fry wasn’t expected to make the Guardians out of spring training and then wasn’t slated to play against righties once he did make the team, but all he’s done so far is hit .357/.492/.622 with seven homers and four steals in 128 plate appearances. The exit velocity numbers don’t back up anything close to this level of performance, but he’ll probably remain pretty solid and he has catcher eligibility. Rotoworld Tuesday, 9:49 pm

    • Goes seven innings in loss
Pfaadt (2-4) allowed four runs on six hits and a walk while striking out five over seven innings to take the loss versus the Rangers on Tuesday.

Advice: Pfaadt covered at least six innings for the sixth start in a row, but this was the third time this year he's allowed at least four earned runs -- Josh Smith had an RBI single in the third inning and Corey Seager continued his power surge with a three-run home run in the fifth. Pfaadt is now at a 4.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB through 67 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start on the road versus the Mets. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:15 pm
