Olson did not factor into the decision Wednesday against the Guardians, allowing two runs (one earned) on one hit and two walks over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: It was another excellent outing from Olson though he was ultimately stuck with the no-decision, despite allowing just one hit, as the Tigers' bullpen couldn't protect a 4-2 lead. Olson is 0-4 on the year despite holding opponents to one earned run or fewer in five of his seven starts. He lowered his ERA to 2.52 with a 1.12 WHIP and 35:15 K:BB across 39.1 innings. Olson will hope for better luck in his next turn in the rotation, currently scheduled for early next week against Miami. Rotowire.com Today, 2:20 pm

    • Reese Olson allows just one hit to Guardians
Reese Olson held the Guardians to two runs — one earned — and one hit over six innings on Wednesday.

Advice: Olson gave up six hard-hit balls, but five turned into groundouts and the other was a routine fly. The lone hit was a well-placed grounder from Austin Hedges that produced two runs after two walks and an error in the first. It’s Olson’s third straight strong outing, but he just can’t find his way into the win column. Left with a no-decision today after the bullpen blew a two-run lead, he’s 0-4 in spite of a 2.52 ERA. • Cleared for rehab assignment
Gelof (oblique) will join Triple-A Las Vegas this weekend to begin a rehab assignment, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Gelof has missed the last two weeks with a strained left oblique but has been upping his baseball activities in recent days and was spotted running the bases earlier Wednesday, per Gallegos. Because the young infielder hasn't missed much time, he shouldn't need too many at-bats in the minors before being activated from the 10-day injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 11:26 am

    • Battles control in no-decision
Lopez came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Red Sox, allowing two runs (one earned) on six hits and four walks over 5.1 innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The four free passes were a season high for Lopez, who tossed 54 of 91 pitches for strikes before exiting. The right-hander has failed to last six innings in either of his last two outings after beginning the season with four straight quality starts, but he still sports a 1.53 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and 36:14 K:BB through 35.1 innings. He'll look to tighten things up in his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Cubs. Rotowire.com Today, 8:28 am

    • Out of lineup with illness again
Rengifo (illness) remains out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.

Advice: Rengifo will miss out on a fifth consecutive start while he continues to recover from an illness. With Rengifo stuck on the bench once again, the Angels will clear a spot in the infield for Ehire Adrianza, who will start at second base and bat leadoff Wednesday. Rotowire.com Today, 7:19 am

    • Draws another start Friday
Scott is scheduled to start Friday's game against Atlanta at Citi Field.

Advice: One of the top pitching prospects in the organization, Scott impressed in his MLB debut this past Saturday against the Rays, striking out six over 6.2 innings while allowing one run on five hits and one walk. Despite his stellar debut and strong track record in the minors, the 24-year-old righty likely won't have much margin for error moving forward if he hopes to maintain a spot in the big-league rotation. The Mets have gotten excellent production from three other rotation members (Luis Severino, Sean Manaea and Jose Butto) this season, and while Jose Quintana has struggled (5.20 ERA, 1.54 WHIP in seven starts), his long track record in the majors as well as his $13 million salary for 2024 likely gives him some level of security. Additionally, the Mets could get Tylor Megill (shoulder) back from the 15-day injured list next week, so a poor outing from Scott on Friday could put him at risk of a demotion to Triple-A Syracuse. • Logs two hits in loss
Duran went 2-for-5 with a double and a triple in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Duran's line Tuesday was similar to his previous game Sunday, when he logged a double and triple in a win over the Twins, only he didn't score against Atlanta. That's partially due to Boston's woeful 1-for-14 performance with runners in scoring position (13 LOB). Duran's done a good job of not letting any slumps linger -- the bane of his first two seasons in the majors -- and is batting .267/.339/.420 over 168 plate appearances. Tuesday's triple, his sixth, vaulted him to the top of MLB. Rotowire.com Today, 5:20 am

    • Approaching rehab assignment
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday that Miller (shoulder) is coming up on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty quickly," Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Miller threw a bullpen session Monday, his second since being placed on the injured list with inflammation in his right shoulder April 13. Roberts noted that the right-hander's velocity was "good" in the session and sounded optimistic about Miller's progress in his recovery from the injury. The second-year hurler will make at least one minor-league rehab start, though it's still unclear how many more bullpens he'll throw before he reaches that point. • Plays hero with ninth-inning homer
Adames went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Royals.

Advice: Adames stepped up to the plate with Gary Sanchez and William Contreras aboard with two outs and the Brewers down 5-3, smacking a laser over the left-field wall for the go-ahead homer. The long ball was Adames' fourth in the last seven games, a stretch in which he's racked up 12 RBI and scored six times. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm
