    • Michael Wacha strikes out eight Rays in win
Michael Wacha allowed just one run across six frames on Wednesday in the Royals’ 4-2 win over the Rays. He struck out eight, walked three, and gave up just three hits en route to a victory.

Advice: The eight punch outs matched a season-high for Wacha as he’s not gone eight straight starts allowing two or fewer earned runs with a stint on the injured list in-between. He did his usual dance of cutters and changeups en route to this fantastic start. While not flashy, Wacha remains incredibly steady. Rotoworld Today, 8:15 pm
    • Yusei Kikuchi chased in sixth inning
Yusei Kikuchi allowed two earned runs in 5 2/3 innings on Wednesday against the Astros. He struck out five and walked two in a no-decision.

Advice: Kikuchi was cruising right along until the sixth inning when Yordan Alvarez smacked a lead-off homer and Jeremy Peña’s two-out double forced him from the game. Those who play in quality start leagues will surely be frustrated, but Kikuchi still had a solid start. His fastball had great life and averaged over 96 MPH for the fourth straight start as he mixed his curveball, changeup, and slider off it nicely. Rotoworld Today, 7:12 pm

    • Andrew Abbott goes 6 1/3 to get win over Yankees
Andrew Abbott gave up one run over 6 1/3 innings on Wednesday in a win over the Yankees.

Advice: Abbott finished with only two strikeouts, and also handed out four free passes, but managed to avoid any serious damage as a two-run double by Anthony Volpe in the seventh inning accounted for all of the damage against him in Yankee Stadium’s hitter-friendly environment. He’ll carry a solid 3.28 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 74/36 K/BB ratio across 96 innings (17 starts) into a home outing on Monday against the Rockies. Rotoworld Today, 7:08 pm
    • Brandon Nimmo (head) returns to lineup Wednesday
Brandon Nimmo (head) returned to the Mets’ starting lineup on Wednesday.

Advice: Nimmo was held out of the team’s starting lineup each of the previous two games after suffering a forehead laceration when he fell in his hotel room on Sunday. He did appear off the bench in Tuesday’s game though and is right back out there in left field and batting second against Mitchell Parker and the Nationals on Wednesday evening in Washington. • Back in lineup
Nimmo (forehead) is playing left field and batting second Wednesday against Washington.

Advice: Nimmo missed back-to-back games with a cut on his forehead stemming from an incident in his hotel room Sunday night. However, he'll return to action Wednesday, joining Tyrone Taylor and Ben Gamel in the outfield. Rotowire.com Today, 1:55 pm

    • Homers, steals in win
Duran went 1-for-4 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 8-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Duran walked and stole second base in the second inning and hit a solo home run in the eighth. The outfielder continued his torrid stretch, hitting safely in 18 of his past 19 games and homering in three straight. On the season, he is hitting .287 with 10 home runs, 40 RBI, 58 runs scored and 21 steals in what has been one of the biggest breakouts of 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:30 pm
    • Earns 31st save
Helsley earned a save against the Pirates on Tuesday, striking out one in a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Helsley was asked to protect a 7-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so on 17 pitches. He leads the league with 31 saves and has not blown a save chance since his first outing of the season. Through 38 innings, the 29-year-old owns a 2.54 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 47:16 K:BB. • Nimmo has two hits, two RBI off bench
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-3 with two RBIs after coming off the bench in a win over the Nationals on Tuesday.

Advice: Nimmo didn’t start the game after nursing a head injury when he fell in his hotel room on Sunday night and cut his head. However, he certainly seems to be healthy, knocking in a run on a single in the eighth to tie the game and then giving the Mets a two-run cushion in the 10th inning with an RBI double. Over the last six weeks, Nimmo is hitting .283/.377/.496 with six home runs, 27 runs scored, 21 RBI, and three steals in 33 games. He remains underrated in fantasy baseball. • Ryan Helsley snags 31st save
Ryan Helsley threw a scoreless ninth inning to pick up a save in a 7-4 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Helsley didn’t allow a hit while striking out one and now leads baseball with his 31st save, which is incredible since we haven’t even hit the All-Star break yet. He’s been one of the best draft day values of the 2024 fantasy baseball season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:55 pm
