    • Stops swinging bat
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Muncy (oblique) has been shut down from swinging a bat, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Roberts said Muncy hasn't progressed through his rehab as fast as the team had hoped, and the chances of the third baseman beginning a rehab assignment near the All-Star break have been reduced significantly. A right oblique strain has kept him on the injured list since May 17, though his latest setback once again leaves him without a clear return timeline. Rotowire.com 11 minutes ago

    • Max Muncy (oblique) shut down from swinging again
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Max Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat again as his oblique injury is simply not progressing.

Advice: Muncy has been sidelined since the middle of May due to a right oblique strain and any hopes of him returning in July are now out of the picture with this setback. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues that don’t have IL spots may be better served cutting bait and finding better use of the roster spot. Muncy has hit .223/.323/.475 with nine homers and 28 RBI in the 40 games that he has been able to play in this season. Rotoworld 15 minutes ago

    • Yordan Alvarez diagnosed with right knee contusion
Yordan Alvarez is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a right knee contusion on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Twins after being plunked by a pitch on his right knee in his previous plate appearance. It appears to have been a precautionary measure though as the Astros won’t even have any imaging done on their 27-year-old slugger. There’s a chance that he gets Sunday off to be on the safe side, but Alvarez shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Rotoworld 27 minutes ago

    • Has bruised knee
Alvarez was diagnosed with a right knee contusion Saturday and didn't go in for imaging, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez was hit in the knee by a pitch in the sixth inning of Saturday's game and although he stayed in to run the bases, he was later removed in the eighth inning. Considering he didn't need to undergo imaging, the 27-year-old should be viewed as day-to-day. However, with a team off day coming Monday, the Astros could opt to play it safe and hold Alvarez out of Sunday's series finale against Minnesota. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Exits after HBP
Alvarez was removed from Saturday's game versus Minnesota after getting hit by a pitch, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Alvarez took a 94-mph fastball off his right knee during the sixth inning of Saturday's contest. He initially remained in the game to run the bases despite looking uncomfortable, and Grae Kessinger pinch hit for him during the eighth frame. Houston will presumably take Alvarez in for imaging, and the team should have more information on his injury in the near future. Rotowire.com Today, 1:41 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez (knee) exits after hit by pitch
Yordan Alvarez was removed from Saturday’s game against the Twins a couple of innings after he was plunked in the right knee by a pitch.

Advice: Alvarez remained in the game to run the bases for himself but was walking slowly and hobbling as he made his way to first base. When his spot in the order came back around in the eighth inning, Grae Kessinger was sent out to pinch-hit for him. The fact that the Twins had a six-run lead at the time may have played a role in his removal, but be sure to pay close attention to his status after the game and prior to Sunday’s contest. • Swipes bag Friday
Burleson went 1-for-5 with a walk and a stolen base in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Burleson is heating up again, going 7-for-21 (.333) over his last five games. The steal was his first since June 23, and he's offered decent speed for a player best known for his power. The 25-year-old is slashing .281/.317/.459 with 13 home runs, six steals, 42 RBI, 34 runs scored and 11 doubles over 301 plate appearances this year. Rotowire.com Today, 10:18 am

    • Records ninth steal
Winn went 1-for-6 with a stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 7-6 extra-innings win over the Nationals.

Advice: Winn hadn't recorded a steal since June 4, though he has nine thefts on 12 attempts this season. The shortstop is hitting .279 (17-for-61) over his last 14 games, a slight dip from his .291 batting average overall. He's added a .756 OPS, four home runs, 29 RBI, 35 runs scored, 18 doubles and three triples over 79 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 10:16 am

    • Out again Saturday
Smith (glute) isn't in the Rangers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Rays.

Advice: Smith missed four games in June due to glute tightness, and he'll be missing his second consecutive game Saturday due to the same injury. Jonathan Ornelas will pick up another start at third base and bat ninth while Smith continues to recover. Rotowire.com Today, 9:45 am
