      Advice: Eflin threw 66 of 93 pitches for strikes and earned his first victory since May 13 and first quality start since May 7. The 30-year-old has now recorded at least six strikeouts over each of his past three outings and has only walked three batters in 28.1 June innings.       Zach Eflin was terrific in Friday night’s victory over the Nationals, punching out six batters over six innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: Eflin scattered just four hits and one walk on the night. Only once did an opposing hitter advance past second base in the game, and that was Jacob Young who advanced to third on a ground ball after his leadoff double in the third inning and was then thrown out at home on a fielder’s choice. The 30-year-old right-hander generated 11 swings and misses on 93 pitches in the ballgame — five of those on his curveball — while posting a CSW of 29 percent.       Crawford's next start will come Tuesday in Miami after his last outing was suspended by rain, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

That game will be resumed Aug. 26 as part of a split doubleheader.       Advice: Arenado cut the deficit to 5-2 with his third-inning blast, but the Cardinals weren't able to build off it. While he's battled a couple of arm injures recently, the third baseman has still put together a decent June. He's batting .260 with a .698 OPS this month, though just five of his 20 hits have gone for extra bases over the last 21 contests.       Robert went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Thursday's 1-0 win over Atlanta.

      Advice: Robert's eighth blast of the season came in the first inning off Chris Sale and was the only run to cross the plate on the day. It was just the fourth multi-hit game of the season for Robert, who missed a couple months earlier this season with a hip flexor strain. While he has struggled to the tune of a .204 batting average and 38 strikeouts over 114 plate appearances for the moribund White Sox, his AB/HR ratio of 12.9 is a career-best mark and portends to good things to come for the 26-year-old slugger.       Wheeler allowed two runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out five batters over 6.2 innings in a no-decision against Miami on Thursday.

      Advice: Wheeler cruised through six scoreless frames before running into trouble in the seventh. In that inning, he retired the first two batters he faced before allowing back-to-back singles. The right-hander was then given the hook, and both runners came around to score following his departure. Wheeler nonetheless managed a quality start -- his seventh over his past eight outings.
