    • Heston Kjerstad hits grand slam in win over TEX
Heston Kjerstad hit a grand slam to help the Orioles to a 6-5 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: Kjerstad also walked twice, but you don’t want to hear about that. The rookie outfielder shellacked a Michael Lorenzen offering with the bases loaded to turn a 2-1 Texas lead into a 5-2 Baltimore cushion. The 25-year-old has gone deep twice in his limited time with the Orioles, and 18 times when combined with his outstanding run with Triple-A Norfolk. Kjerstad is still a better long-term play, but Saturday was a fine example of what kind of upside is in his left-handed bat. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm

    • Michael Lorenzen gives up grand slam in loss to O’s
Michael Lorenzen went five innings while allowing five runs in a loss to the Orioles on Saturday.

Advice: Lorenzen gave up two homers in the loss, and one of those was a grand slam to Heston Kjerstad. The other was a solo shot, as you could probably guess if you are decent at math. The right-hander clearly didn’t have his best command, as he gave up the two roundtrippers and also issued four walks against three strikeouts. Lorenzen still has a solid 3.40 ERA, and gets a chance to bounce back against the Rays next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm

    • Scores four runs in win
Meyers went 2-for-3 with a solo home run, a walk, a hit-by-pitch and four total runs scored in Saturday's 9-6 win over the Mets.

Advice: Meyers opened the scoring with his second-inning homer, and he was involved in every other inning the Astros scored during their comeback win. The outfielder has gone 10-for-29 (.345) with six extra-base hits over his last nine contests after an 0-for-14 skid in the middle of June. For the year, he's at a .262/.331/.444 slash line with eight homers, 30 RBI, 26 runs scored and seven stolen bases across 237 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 7:05 pm

    • Extends hit streak to 13 games
Kiner-Falefa went 4-for-5 with an RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 9-3 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa singled and scored in the first inning and added another base-hit in the fifth. He smacked an RBI single and scored in the sixth frame and then finished his huge day by doubling and scoring again in the eighth. Since June 15, the 29-year-old has enjoyed a 13-game hit streak and seen his season average climb from .263 to .296. He also has seven home runs, 33 RBI, 32 runs scored and three steals over 277 plate appearances in what has been a surprisingly productive 2024. Rotowire.com Today, 5:32 pm

    • Steals 10th base in win
Fairchild went 2-for-5 with two RBI, a run scored and a stolen base in Saturday's 9-4 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Fairchild hit a two-run single, stole second and scored in a six-run fifth inning for the Reds. He later added a double in the ninth frame. Fairchild has registered at least one hit in six of his last seven contests and swiped three bases since June 25. On the season, the outfielder is hitting .232 with four home runs, 22 RBI, 21 runs scored and 10 steals over 172 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 4:51 pm
    • Meyers scores four runs, homers in win Saturday
Jake Meyers went 2-for-3 with four runs scored, a home run and a walk against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Meyers’ home run was his eighth of the season. He started the scoring with a solo shot off Tylor Megill in the second inning and ended up scoring four runs himself in the contest. Meyers is hitting .262 with a .775 OPS and 30 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Today, 4:51 pm

    • Eyeing July return
Trout (knee) said Saturday that he's basically pain free and expects to be reinstated from the IL by the end of July, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports. Trout has yet to start running.

Advice: Manager Ron Washington indicated Saturday that Trout was close to resuming baseball activities and Trout said he'd be back prior to August. The 32-year-old claimed he's pain free outside of occasional soreness in his left knee as he recovers from surgery on a torn meniscus in May. Considering he's missed two months of action, it's likely he'll require a rehab assignment before being cleared. Rotowire.com Today, 4:37 pm

    • Mike Trout (knee) plans return before end of July
Mike Trout (knee) told reporters on Saturday that he plans to return from the injured list before the end of July.

Advice: The 32-year-old superstar also noted that he’s pretty much pain-free except for some occasional soreness. Trout also admitted that he has yet to start running and there’s currently no timetable for him to do so. Interesting. This is starting to sound like a situation where the Angels are going to provide no updates, then suddenly one day he’ll be activated from the injured list and return to the lineup without anyone being the wiser. • Adam Duvall singles home winner in 10th vs. PIT
Adam Duvall hit a walkoff single to give Atlanta a 2-1 victory over Pittsburgh on Saturday in 10 innings.

Advice: Duvall singled home Luke Williams in the bottom of the 10th to give Atlanta a victory and Duvall his 20th RBI of 2024. The 35-year-old outfielder went hitless prior to that knock and is hitting a paltry .167/.239/.290, but Atlanta and Duvall probably aren’t thinking about that too much right now. Fantasy managers just shouldn’t consider adding him until — or if — he gets going again. Rotoworld Today, 4:18 pm
