    • Another big performance
Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a home run and three RBI in Saturday's win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Vaughn drove home Chicago's first run of the game with an RBI single in the third before adding a two-run shot in the fifth, boosting the team's lead to three runs. It marked the first baseman's fifth long ball in his last 10 games and he's now batting .340 in June with nine RBI and 11 runs scored. Vaughn has also recorded multiple hits in four of his last six contests. Rotowire.com Today, 8:00 am

    • Allows season-high six runs
Jones (4-6) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Jones struck out three of the first four batters he faced on the night before allowing two batters to reach in the second, though he would manage to escape the inning unscathed thanks to a double play ball. Unfortunately that luck would not continue as the right-hander went on to surrender runs in each of the next three frames while issuing a season-high four walks in the contest. Jones has now surrendered five or more runs in two of his last four starts and has issued multiple free passes in five straight. It also marked the second time in his last four outings that he was unable to make it through five innings. Rotowire.com Today, 6:32 am

    • Goes deep again Saturday
Merrill went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Saturday in a loss to the Mets.

Advice: Merrill produced the only Padres run with a solo shot to center field in the fifth inning. The rookie has homered in three straight contests, belting four total long balls over that span. Merrill has also notched at least one hit in nine of his past 10 games and is batting .351 (13-for-37) with eight extra-base hits, six RBI, seven runs and two steals during that stretch. • Andrew Vaughn homers again in rout of D-Backs
Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: It’s been a fantastic June for Vaughn, even with the White Sox playing at an absolutely abhorrent level. The 26-year-old hit a two-run blast off Bryce Jarvis in the fifth, and the first baseman drove in another run with a single two innings earlier. Vaughn ended May with a .577 OPS, and the current slash of .227/.283/.386 helps tell the story of how good he’s been since. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:08 pm

    • Lifts seventh homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rodriguez has two homers over his last three games and three of his seven long balls this year have come in June. The outfielder is batting .278 (15-for-54) over 14 contests this month, though Saturday was the first game since June 4 in which he didn't strike out. Over 73 games this season, Rodriguez is slashing .267/.317/.361 with 29 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 stolen bases. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:16 pm
    • Jared Jones allows six runs in loss to Rockies
Jared Jones allowed six runs over his 4 2/3 innings while picking up a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Jones was not great, and the Pittsburgh bullpen allowed 10 more runs to score in a 16-4 blowout loss to the Rockies. The right-hander gave up six hits, and he also walked four on a night where the command just wasn’t there for the 22-year-old. He still was able to strike out six, and his rookie campaign has certainly been a success even with a couple of so-so outings as of late. He’ll take a 3.76 ERA into next weekend’s scheduled start vs. the Rays. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm

    • Trevor Megill snags 12th save
Trevor Megill closed out a 3-1 win over the Reds for his 12th save of the season.

Advice: It wasn’t a flawless inning for Megill, who did allow a walk, a hit, and a run; however, he got the job done. He now has a 2.25 ERA on the season and has been a steadying presence for the Brewers at the end of games. Even though he will lose his job as closer when Devin Williams returns, he’ll remain a valuable reliever for the Brewers and needs to simply be held in fantasy leagues because you’re unlikely to get much trying to trade him away when everybody knows his time accruing saves is coming to a close within the month. • Secures save Saturday
Megill notched a save against the Reds on Saturday, allowing one run on one hit and one walk in one inning.

Advice: A trio of Milwaukee pitchers combined to shut out Cincinnati over eight innings before the ball was handed to Megill for the ninth. The right-hander didn't make things easy, issuing a walk and allowing a run-scoring double before getting his first out, but he was ultimately able to slam the door for the save. Megill has been great in his first venture as a closer this season, going 12-for-13 in save tries while posting a 2.25 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 25:6 K:BB over 20 innings. He appears to have a firm grasp on ninth-inning duties for the Brewers, at least until Devin Williams (back) is able to return from the injured list, potentially in the latter half of July. • J-Rod swats two-run homer in victory over Rangers
Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 7-5 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: The man they call J-Rod clobbered a cutter that didn’t cut from Nathan Eovaldi into the left-field bleachers to make it 3-0 in the third inning. It’s just the seventh homer of the season for the 23-year-old, but it’s worth noting he’s gone deep in two of the last three games. It’s not a foregone conclusion that Rodríguez shows elite power in the second half of the year, but it seems pretty likely based on his first two seasons. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:05 pm
