    • Dealt third loss
Burnes (8-3) allowed four runs on five hits and struck out five without walking a batter over seven innings, taking the loss Saturday versus the Astros.

Advice: Burnes had a solid outing, but a two-run home run by Yordan Alvarez and a solo shot by Chas McCormick were too much for the Orioles to overcome. This was the first time all year Burnes has given up multiple homers in a start -- he's yielded just 10 long balls through 16 starts. While this wasn't his best work, he's still at an excellent 2.35 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 94:24 K:BB through 99.2 innings. Burnes is projected to make his next start at home versus the Rangers. • Giancarlo Stanton leaves game with hamstring issue
Giancarlo Stanton was removed from Saturday night’s battle against the Braves due to tightness in his left hamstring.

Advice: The 34-year-old slugger is set to undergo an MRI exam on Sunday to determine the severity of the injury. This is the type of situation that fantasy managers had been waiting for when Jasson Dominguez was tearing it up at Triple-A but had nowhere to play, but now that he’s on the injured list at Triple-A it’s unclear what they would do if Stanton was forced to miss substantial time. Trent Grisham replaced him on Saturday night and wound up swatting a solo homer. Rotoworld 49 minutes ago

    • Will miss games
Aaron Boone said Saturday that he's expecting Stanton (hamstring) to miss "days," Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports Saturday.

Advice: Stanton was removed from Saturday's game with tightness in his hamstring and is set to undergo an MRI on Sunday. While Boone is hopeful the injury isn't significant, he's still expecting Stanton to miss some time. Sunday's MRI should provide more clarity on the severity of the injury. Trent Grisham entered the game for Stanton and could be in line for more at-bats while Stanton's sidelined. Rotowire.com Today, 7:07 pm

    • Jackson Merrill powers Padres past Brewers
Jackson Merrill went 3-for-3, drew a walk and clobbered a three-run homer on Saturday, powering the Padres to a 6-4 victory over the Brewers in San Diego.

Advice: Merrill smacked a one-out single off of Carlos Rodriguez in the second inning, but was ultimately stranded at third base. The 21-year-old outfielder then broke a scoreless tie with his mammoth 440-foot (105.9 mph EV) three-run blast to center field in the fourth inning. He also singled in the sixth. With his three-hit attack, Merrill is now slashing a robust .290/.327/.444 with 10 homers, 35 RBI and nine stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:00 pm

    • Lifted with hamstring tightness
Stanton was removed from Saturday's game against Atlanta with left hamstring tightness.

Advice: Stanton seemed to aggravate the hamstring while scoring from second base on a Gleyber Torres double in the fourth inning. Trent Grisham pinch-hit for Stanton the next time Stanton was due up. Stanton is set to undergo imaging Sunday. Rotowire.com Today, 6:26 pm

    • Corbin Burnes gives up two homers in loss to Astros
Corbin Burnes gave up four runs over seven innings with five strikeouts in a loss to the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Burnes gave up two homers in the loss, including a two-run homer by Yordan Alvarez. Outside of the roundtrippers the 29-year-old was mostly solid, but he was outdueled by Ronel Blanco as Baltimore dropped their second consecutive game in the three-game set. Burnes is back on the bump Thursday against the Rangers, assuming Baltimore doesn’t change the rotation order. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm

    • Jones strikes out eight in seven innings in win
Jared Jones allowed two runs in seven innings and got the win in the Pirates’ 4-3 victory over the Rays on Saturday.

Advice: Jones gave up three hits, walked three and struck out eight. Tampa Bay couldn’t get much offense going against Jones. The Rays scored on an RBI groundout by Josh Lowe in the first inning and an RBI single by Ben Rortvedt in the fourth inning. The win was his fifth of the season. Jones’ ERA is down to 3.66 with a SO:BB of 93:25 this year. The 22-year-old rookie right-hander is set to face the Braves on the road next weekend.

    • Jared Jones fires seven strong in win over Rays
Jared Jones struck out eight while allowing two runs in seven innings Saturday to get a win over the Rays.

Advice: Jones gave up just three hits, and while he did issue three walks, the strikeouts were able to get him out of the majority of jams. The only blemishes were a fielder’s choice that scored a run in the first and an RBI single by Ben Rortvedt in the fourth. The rookie right-hander continues to impress, and his ERA is now a solid 3.66. Jones gets Atlanta next weekend. Rotoworld Today, 3:15 pm

    • Shut down from throwing
Romano experienced right elbow soreness after long tossing from 120 feet Friday and has been shut down from throwing, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

Advice: Romano was slated to throw off the mound over the weekend, but he will now take a break while the team determines next steps. Prior to landing on the injured list June 1, the 31-year-old closer registered eight saves across 15 outings with a 6.59 ERA and 1.46 WHIP over 13.2 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 11:40 am
