    • Steve Delabar's first full season in Canada is going swimmingly, as he's 3-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 1.20 WHIP over 25 innings for the Jays.
Advice: Acquired from the Mariners for Eric Thames at last year's trade deadline, Delabar has been excellent since he stepped off the plane. The 29-year-old pitched in independent league ball from 2008-09, missed the 2010 season due to an elbow injury and spent most of 2011 in the minors. Delabar's amazing story includes a 3.21 ERA in 98 innings since his September 2011 debut.

    • Alfredo Figaro is expected to start next Tuesday against the Twins.
Advice: He'll make the start in place of Hiram Burgos, who was placed on the disabled list Friday with a right shoulder impingement. Things could change if Figaro is needed out of the bullpen this weekend.

    • The Indians are contemplating when to promote Carlos Carrasco.
Advice: Carrasco deserves another shot in the rotation, having posted a 1.36 ERA while striking out 41 over 39 2/3 Triple-A innings. The problem is that he has to serve a suspension, which will last eight games unless it's reduced following his appeal. "Once we have a sense of what the final suspension will be, maybe it's eight games, maybe it's less, we'll have an idea how to work around it," said general manager Chris Antonetti. It would be easiest to work around the suspension at the All-Star break, but it's possible the Tribe will call Carrasco up before then.

    • Ross Detwiler (back) played catch Thursday and will throw a bullpen session Saturday.
Advice: Detwiler left his start on May 15 with lower back spasms, but managed to avoid a stint on the disabled list. Barring any setbacks, he will return to the rotation Tuesday against the Orioles.

    • Ross Detwiler reported improvement with his back Monday and hopes to be ready to make his next start.
Advice: Detwiler will play catch on Tuesday before throwing from a mound later in the week. With an off day on Thursday, the Nationals can delay Detwiler's next turn a few days. Zach Duke is making a spot start in his place on Monday.

    • George Kontos has allowed six runs on 11 hits and two walks in his last three appearances.
Advice: The Northwestern product has seen better days. Though Kontos' 5.79 ERA this season is undoubtedly inflated by some bad luck, his days on the active roster may be numbered.

    • Kyle Kendrick was tagged for five runs in five innings Friday in a loss to the Nationals.
Advice: Kendrick allowed an army of baserunners, giving up eight hits and walking four. After posting a 1.84 ERA over his previous seven starts, he has allowed nine runs in 11 innings over his last two. He'll look to get back on track next week against the Red Sox.

    • Blue Jays transferred LHP J.A. Happ from the 15-day disabled list to the 60-day disabled list.
Advice: Happ was hoping to make it back by mid-June, but he now won't be eligible to return until early July. The left-hander is coming back from a small fracture behind his left ear as well as a sprained right knee.

    • Samuel Deduno was hammered by the Tigers in his season debut on Friday, surrendering six runs on nine hits over 5 1/3 innings of work.
Advice: Deduno also walked three and struck out two on the evening. While the Twins are starved for quality options in their starting rotation, perhaps Deduno may not be the optimal choice. Assuming he sticks around to make another start, he'll do battle against the Brewers at home on Wednesday. He remains a non-factor in all fantasy leagues.

    • Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said Tuesday that Samuel Deduno will be called up from Triple-A Rochester to start Friday's game against the Tigers.
Advice: In other words, Kyle Gibson's major league debut will have to wait. Deduno, who had a breakthrough performance during the World Baseball Classic, has a 2.70 ERA and 17/10 K/BB ratio in 16 2/3 innings over three starts with Triple-A Rochester since returning from a groin injury. He'll have a pretty tough first matchup, so fantasy owners should steer clear for now.

    • Garrett Richards earned the second save of his major league career on Friday, recording the final five outs to preserve a three-run victory over the Royals.
Advice: With Ernesto Frieri likely unavailable, Angels skipper Mike Scioscia opted to leave Richards in to close it out, and he responded very favorably. In his 1 2/3 innings of work, he surrendered just one hit and picked up a pair of strikeouts. He's still unlikely to become relevant in fantasy leagues unless he's moved back to the rotation.

    • Nathan Eovaldi (shoulder) will make his first minor league rehab start with High-A Jupiter on Saturday.
Advice: Eovaldi will be limited to between 60 and 70 pitches in the game. He's been sidelined since the end of spring training with inflammation in his right shoulder. He'll need a few rehab starts to get fully stretched out, but could join the Marlins rotation in early June if all goes well.

    • Jim Henderson was removed from Friday's game against the Pirates due to an apparent leg injury.
Advice: No word yet on the extent of the injury or how much time he may miss. Francisco Rodriguez, and not John Axford, replaced Henderson with the Brewers clinging to a one-run lead. The team should release an update on his status after the game.

    • Jim Henderson earned his ninth save of the season as the Brewers beat the Dodgers 5-2 on Tuesday.
Advice: Henderson's save capped off a total of 5 2/3 scoreless innings from the Milwaukee bullpen. He surrendered a hit and a walk but struck out the other three batters he faced and now boasts a 0.95 ERA, 0.79 WHIP and 23/5 K/BB ratio in 19 innings this season. The right-hander has been a waiver wire gem so far and should be a steady fantasy closer all year.

    • Red Sox recalled RHP Alfredo Aceves from Triple-A Pawtucket.
Advice: Aceves put up a 3.13 ERA while striking out nearly a batter per inning in four starts for Pawtucket. He'll be used in long relief for the Sox.

    • Marco Estrada tossed seven innings of one-run ball Friday in a 2-1 win over the Pirates.
Advice: It was his best start of the season. Estrada held the Pirates to just four hits while walking none and striking out a season-high eight batters. The only run scored on a double by Neil Walker in his final inning of work. Estrada has been inconsistent this season, but he's well worth a look if he's sitting on the waiver wire. He has a promising matchup against the Twins next week.

    • Steve Johnson has been scratched from Friday's start with Triple-A Norfolk.
Advice: Johnson is healthy, but the Orioles want him available in case they need to add him as a reliever on Saturday. The 25-year-old gave up six runs in four innings in a spot start with the big club earlier this month.

Advice: Betances was called up from the minors last week, but didn't throw a pitch during his time with the big club. He'll return to a 5.40 ERA over 28 1/3 innings in Triple-A.
