    • Snags fourth win
Clase (4-1) pitched a perfect inning to earn the win Tuesday over the White Sox.

Advice: Clase kept the game tied at 6-6 in the top of the ninth inning, needing just 10 pitches to retire the side. Bo Naylor's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the frame sealed the win for the Guardians, giving Clase his first decision since May 19. The closer is on an eight-inning scoreless streak and has maintained elite ratios with a 0.67 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 39:4 K:BB through 40.1 innings overall. Clase is also 25-for-28 in save chances this year, with the Guardians having bounced back to win in all three of his blown saves. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:36 pm
    • Smacks homer in loss
Pederson went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Pederson had gone six games without a homer or a multi-hit effort before snapping both droughts Tuesday. His ninth-inning blast briefly put the Diamondbacks ahead before the Dodgers responded in their half of the frame. Pederson is up to 11 homers this year while slashing a hearty .286/.378/.507 with 35 RBI, 31 runs scored and four stolen bases over 239 plate appearances in his usual strong-side platoon role. The first baseman is up to 18 long balls on the year, with six of them coming over his last 18 games. He's added a .259/.331/.480 slash line with 55 RBI, 50 runs scored and two stolen bases over 85 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:30 pm
    • Christian Walker goes deep in loss to Dodgers
Christian Walker went 2-for-5 and slugged a two-run homer on Tuesday night as the Diamondbacks fell to the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Advice: The 33-year-old slugger evened the score at 2-2 when he clobbered a 402-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of Bobby Miller in the fourth inning. He also added a two-out single off of Alex Vesia in the seventh inning. Walker is enjoying another strong season in the middle of the Diamondbacks’ lineup, slashing .259/.331/.480 with 18 homers, 55 RBI and two stolen bases (in four attempts). • Trevor Megill slams door on Rockies in ninth
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Rockies in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, preserving a one-run lead to notch his 18th save of the season.

Advice: The Brewers rallied to score twice in the top half of the ninth inning, setting the stage for Megill to come on and do his thing. The 30-year-old hurler made it look easy once again, getting Ezequiel Tovar on a fly ball to center and Brendan Rodgers on a swinging third strike to begin the inning. He did allow a two-out single to Ryan McMahon, but battled back to get Elias Diaz on a swinging third strike to end it. Megill has been awesome in the closer’s role for the Brewers this season, converting 18 of his 19 save chances while registering a masterful 1.59 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm

    • Remaining out Tuesday
Garver (wrist) isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Tuesday's game against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver will get an extra day to recover Tuesday after getting hit in the wrist by a pitch during Sunday's loss to Minnesota. His absence will allow Mitch Haniger to serve as Seattle's designated hitter while batting eighth. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:24 pm
    • Mitch Garver out Tuesday with wrist contusion
Mitch Garver (wrist) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Orioles.

Advice: Garver will take a seat for Tuesday’s series opener after suffering a right wrist contusion when he was hit by a pitch during Sunday’s game against the Twins. He’s day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:20 pm
