    • Returning from rehab assignment
Nootbaar (oblique) said he has finished his rehab assignment with Triple-A Springfield and is heading to St. Louis, Rob Rains of StLSportsPage.com reports. It's unclear if Nootbaar will join the Cardinals in Washington D.C. or wait for the team to return Tuesday.

Advice: Nootbaar had a postgame phone call with Cardinals manager Oli Marmol on Saturday to determine whether or not the outfielder was ready to return from his assignment, which resulted in Nootbaar being brought back from Springfield. The Cardinals are finishing up a road series with the Nationals on Monday before returning to St. Louis for a five-game homestand. However, it's unknown at this point if Nootbaar will join the team before they return home. Rotowire.com Today, 8:00 pm

    • Christian Yelich crushes game-tying homer Saturday
Christian Yelich crushed a game-tying solo homer in the eighth inning on Saturday, but it wasn’t enough to lead the Brewers past the Dodgers.

Advice: Yelich clobbered an Evan Phillips sweeper for a 429-foot (108.4 mph EV) game-tying solo shot in the top half of the eighth inning. It was all for nought though as the Dodgers belted a pair of homers of their own in the bottom half of the frame to regain command. The 32-year-old All-Star outfielder finished the evening 1-for-4 and is now hitting .322/.400/.512 with 10 homers, 38 RBI and 19 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm
    • Freddy Peralta lasts four innings in no-decision
Freddy Peralta lasted just four innings in a no-decision against the Dodgers on Saturday, surrendering three runs on four hits and three walks.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander punched out four batters on the night. He served up a two-run homer to Will Smith before he recorded an out in the ballgame then allowed a third run as Andy Pages bounced into a fielder’s choice in the opening inning. He settled in nicely afterwards, but still needed 104 pitches (64 strikes) to get through 12 outs. Peralta got a whopping 21 swings and misses on the night — 10 of those on his slider — while posting a CSW of 29 percent. He’ll look to finish the first half strong as he totes a 3.95 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and a 124/36 K/BB ratio (98 innings) into Friday’s showdown against the Nationals. Rotoworld Today, 7:15 pm
    • Strikes out eight in win
Ryan (6-5) earned the win against the Astros on Saturday, allowing three runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over 5.2 innings.

Advice: Ryan surrendered a run in the third inning and a two-run homer in the fourth while receiving plenty of early run support from his teammates. He generated 15 swinging strikes on 110 pitches and has completed at least five frames in each of his 18 starts this season. On the year, the 28-year-old owns an impressive 3.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 118:16 K:BB through 109.1 innings and lines up to face the Giants next week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:58 pm

    • Ketel Marte (back) held out of lineup on Saturday
Ketel Marte (back) was held out of the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Saturday evening’s showdown against the Padres.

Advice: Marte was removed from Friday’s game due to tightness in his back. The Diamondbacks are hopeful that it’s only a minor issue and won’t require a lengthy absence. He’s expected to be available off the bench on Saturday night and could return to the Diamondbacks’ lineup for Sunday’s series finale. Rotoworld Today, 4:32 pm

    • Held out of starting nine
Marte (back) is out of the lineup for Saturday's game against the Padres but could be available off the bench, Nick Piecoro of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: Marte was removed from Friday's contest with lower back tightness and the D-Backs will keep him out of the starting lineup Saturday. However, manager Torey Lovullo said that Marte could be available off the bench if needed. Marte should be considered day-to-day. Rotowire.com Today, 4:22 pm

    • Stops swinging bat
Manager Dave Roberts said Saturday that Muncy (oblique) has been shut down from swinging a bat, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Roberts added that Muncy hasn't progressed through his rehab as fast as the team had hoped, and the chances of the third baseman beginning a rehab assignment near the All-Star break have been reduced significantly. A right oblique strain has kept him on the injured list since May 17, though his latest setback once again leaves him without a clear return timeline. Rotowire.com Today, 2:36 pm

    • Max Muncy (oblique) shut down from swinging again
Dodgers’ manager Dave Roberts told reporters on Saturday that Max Muncy has been shut down from swinging a bat again as his oblique injury is simply not progressing.

Advice: Muncy has been sidelined since the middle of May due to a right oblique strain and any hopes of him returning in July are now out of the picture with this setback. Fantasy managers in redraft leagues that don’t have IL spots may be better served cutting bait and finding better use of the roster spot. Muncy has hit .223/.323/.475 with nine homers and 28 RBI in the 40 games that he has been able to play in this season. Rotoworld Today, 2:33 pm

    • Yordan Alvarez diagnosed with right knee contusion
Yordan Alvarez is considered day-to-day after being diagnosed with a right knee contusion on Saturday.

Advice: Alvarez was pulled from Saturday’s battle against the Twins after being plunked by a pitch on his right knee in his previous plate appearance. It appears to have been a precautionary measure though as the Astros won’t even have any imaging done on their 27-year-old slugger. There’s a chance that he gets Sunday off to be on the safe side, but Alvarez shouldn’t be looking at any sort of extended absence. Rotoworld Today, 2:20 pm
