Ben Rice launches three homers versus Red Sox
Ben Rice went 3-for-5 with three homers and seven RBI to power the Yankees to a 14-4 win over the Red Sox on Saturday.
Advice: What a day for the rookie. Starting at first base and hitting leadoff, Rice got the scoring started with a solo blast off Josh Winckowski in the first inning. He later launched his second homer of the game, a three-run shot off Chase Anderson in part of a seven-run fifth inning for New York. Rice then went yard for a third time with another three-run homer in the seventh. The 25-year-old is off to an impressive start with the Yankees, slashing .294/.383/.588 with four homers and 12 RBI across 60 plate appearances.
