    • Back from injured list
The Royals reinstated Bubic (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Saturday.

Advice: Bubic has been on the injured list all season while working his way back from a Tommy John procedure he underwent last April. In nine rehab appearances with Triple-A Omaha, the 26-year-old lefty posted a 2.63 ERA and 1.22 WHIP over 27.1 innings. He'll transition to the bullpen as he returns to Kansas City and will likely serve in a multi-inning relief role. Walter Pennington was optioned to Omaha in order to make room on the active roster, and Colin Selby was DFA'd to clear a 40-man spot. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago
    • Bailey Falter pulled in third with apparent injury
Bailey Falter was pulled from Saturday’s start against the Mets in the third inning due to an apparent injury.

Advice: Falter delivered five straight balls in the third inning — including a walk of J.D. Martinez to load the bases — which prompted a visit from the training staff. After a quick consultation, the decision was made to remove Falter from the ballgame. He’ll head for further evaluation. Expect the Pirates to provide an update on his status before the game concludes. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

Tyler Anderson struck out ten batters over eight scoreless innings in a win over the Cubs on Saturday.

Advice: Anderson was masterful on Saturday, shutting the Cubs down over eight innings. He scattered three hits and did not walk a batter, tossing 66-of-98 pitches for strikes. Anderson induced an impressive 22 whiffs to strike out ten batters. The 34-year-old left-hander is having an excellent season, posting a 2.81 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and a 7747 K/BB ratio across 112 innings. He’ll take on the Mariners in Anaheim on Thursday. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago

    • Joe Ryan strikes out eight in win against Astros
Joe Ryan allowed three runs with eight strikeouts over 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Ryan pitched two clean frames before a pair of doubles brought a run in to score for Houston in the third. Jon Singleton then hit a two-run homer in the fourth. Ryan worked into the sixth before leaving with the bases loaded and two outs. He struck out eight on the day. The 28-year-old right-hander will take a 3.29 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, and a 118/16 K/BB ratio across 109 1/3 innings into a start against the Giants in San Francisco on Friday. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago

    • Hunter Brown struggles against Twins on Saturday
Hunter Brown allowed seven runs with five strikeouts over six innings in a loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Brown had quite the forgettable day on the mound as he surrendered seven runs to the Twins. The seven runs matched the total runs he’s allowed over his last eight starts combined. Three hits, a hit batter, and a sacrifice fly brought two runs in to score in the first. Minnesota brought three more runs in on four hits and a walk in the second. And Brooks Lee would hit a two-run homer in the third. Brown worked three more scoreless innings before his day was done at 105 pitches. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.48 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 100/36 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings into a start against the Rangers in Houston on Friday. Rotoworld 26 minutes ago

    • Gerrit Cole strikes out eight in no-decision Saturday
Gerrit Cole allowed four runs with eight strikeouts across 4 1/3 innings in a no-decision against the Red Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Cole worked through two scoreless innings, including a base-loaded jam in the second that he escaped with a strikeout. A double, walk, and three base hits would bring three runs in to score for Boston in the third. Cole struck out the side in the fourth inning before Rafael Devers took him deep for a solo shot in the fifth. That would be it for Cole at 90 pitches. He struck out a season-high eight batters. Through four starts, the 33-year-old right-hander holds a 6.75 ERA, 1.62 WHIP, and a 19/8 K/BB ratio across 17 1/3 innings. He’ll take on the Orioles in Baltimore on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:12 pm

    • Josh Winckowski gives up three runs in no-decision
Josh Winckowski allowed three runs with four strikeouts over 3 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Yankees on Saturday.

Advice: Winckowski got the start for the Red Sox on Saturday and was chased by the fourth inning. Ben Rice took him deep for a solo homer to lead off the first inning. Winckowski worked out of a bases loaded jam in the second, then surrendered a two-run homer to Alex Verdugo in the third. He allowed a leadoff double in the fourth inning and recorded the first two outs before his day was done at 66 pitches. The 26-year-old right-hander holds a 3.23 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and a 32/14 K/BB ratio across 39 innings. He’s currently lined up for a start against the Royals in Boston on Friday. • Throws two hitless innings Friday
Cobb (hip/shoulder) struck out five batters and allowed one walk over two innings in his rehab start with Single-A San Jose on Friday, Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Advice: Cobb threw 45 pitches in his second rehab start Friday. Through two outings, he's recorded nine strikeouts while giving up just one run on two hits and a walk over four frames. Cobb should see his workload increase as he progresses through his recovery, and the 36-year-old will aim to return to the big club shortly after the All-Star break. • Edward Cabrera (shoulder) back Sunday vs. White Sox
Edward Cabrera (shoulder) will start on Sunday against the White Sox.

Advice: It’s a nice landing spot for Cabrera, who has looked sharp in a handful of recent minor league rehab starts. The 26-year-old righty has been out since early May due to a right shoulder impingement. He’s showcased immense talent in the majors over the last few years, but hasn’t quite put it all together consistently enough for fantasy managers to make a significant impact. He should be rostered in deeper mixed leagues, even if there are going to be fluctuations from start-to-start from a results standpoint. Rotoworld Today, 12:32 pm
