    • Alec Bohm launches two run homer in win over Cubs
Alec Bohm went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer on Wednesday, leading the Phillies to a 5-3 victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Just a few hours after being named to the National League’s starting third baseman for the upcoming Midsummer Classic, the first All-Star Game selection of his career, Bohm took Cubs ace Shota Imanaga deep for a two-run blast -- his 11th round-tripper of the season -- to help the Phillies to a late-inning comeback victory. The 27-year-old slugger is in the midst of the best season of his career by a considerable margin, batting .299 with 40 runs scored, 11 homers, 70 RBI and four steals through 84 games. • Matt Vierling leaves the yard in win over Twins
Matt Vierling went 1-for-5 with a two-run homer and a pair of runs scored on Wednesday as the Tigers triumphed over the Twins in Minnesota.

Advice: Showing no ill-effects from the foot issue that kept him out of the lineup on Sunday and Tuesday, Vierling bunted into a fielder’s choice in the third inning and rode home on Carson Kelly’s grand slam. He then did a little yard work of his own, crushing a 386-foot (108.9 mph EV) two-run shot off of Kody Funderburk in the ninth inning that capped off the scoring in the contest. On the season, he’s now hitting .249/.284/.443 with 11 homers and 35 RBI. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm

    • Noelvi Marte slugs first homer in win over Yankees
Noelvi Marte walloped a two-run homer on Wednesday, powering the Reds to a 3-2 victory over the Yankees.

Advice: Marte kicked off the scoring on Wednesday evening at Yankee Stadium with a 111.5-mph rocket into the left-field seats off New York starter Carlos Rodón in the second inning. It was his first round-tripper in six games since returning from a league-issued 80-game PED suspension back on June 27. The 22-year-old top prospect continues to show flashes of massive fantasy potential, but he’s gotten off to a pretty slow start as he re-acclimates to everyday life in the majors after an extended layoff. It might not all come together this season, but Marte has the skills to be a four-category fantasy monster in the near future. Rotoworld Today, 7:09 pm

    • Austin Riley hits key two-run double
Austin Riley went 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and run scored against the Giants on Wednesday.

Advice: Riley’s fifth inning double off Jordan Hicks proved to be a decisive blow in this one. All in all, he had three batted balls hit at least 98.5 MPH and has pulled his OPS all the way up to .760 on the season. Rotoworld Today, 6:59 pm

    • Mark Vientos hits towering home run in loss
Mark Vientos went 1-for-4 with a long two-run homer on Wednesday against the Nationals.

Advice: This home run was a shot, traveling an estimated 435 feet and hit 106.0 MPH. Despite not getting another hit, Vientos scorched two other balls and remained locked in at the plate. The Mets made him their starting third baseman on May 15th and he has the eighth highest wRC+ in baseball since that day. Rotoworld Today, 6:34 pm

    • Jhonkensy Noel batting .235 through six games
Jhonkensy Noel went 1-for-4 with a single on Wednesday in the Guardians’ loss to the White Sox.

Advice: It’s admittedly an extremely small sample size, but Noel is batting just .235 (4-for-17) with eight strikeouts in six games since being called up last week from Triple-A Columbus. The 22-year-old slugger has also homered twice during that span, but it’s really been an all-or-nothing stretch for him so far as he adjusts to life in the majors. There’s some appeal here for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues if he can make enough contact to consistently showcase his mammoth raw power. Rotoworld Today, 6:20 pm

    • Blue Jays place Justin Turner on paternity list
Blue Jays placed INF Justin Turner on the paternity list.

Advice: The 39-year-old slugger will be away from the team for at least a couple of days as he welcomes a new addition to his family. Steward Berroa was recalled from Triple-A Buffalo to take his place on the Jays’ active roster. Rotoworld Today, 3:48 pm

    • Heading bench Wednesday
Walls is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game at Kansas City.

Advice: Walls started the previous four games but will sit Wednesday after going 1-for-10 with three walks and five strikeouts during that stretch. Jose Caballero will take over at shortstop and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Today, 3:16 pm

    • Back in action Wednesday
Vierling (foot) will start at third base and bat leadoff during Wednesday's game versus Minnesota, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Advice: A sore left foot has prevented Vierling from playing in Detroit's last two games, but he seems to be feeling better ahead of Wednesday's contest. The 27-year-old has gone 4-for-20 with a homer and three RBI over his last five games. Rotowire.com Today, 3:10 pm
