      Turner (hamstring) went through agility drills and fielded grounders at Citizens Bank Park on Wednesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Turner is less than two weeks removed from suffering a left hamstring strain, so it would seem to be a positive development that he's already working out on the field. Phillies manager Rob Thomson insisted Wednesday that "there is no timeline" for Turner's return, but it's possible the shortstop has a shot to beat the initial six-week recovery timetable he was projected for upon being placed on the 10-day injured list May 4.       Siri will start in center field and bat ninth in Wednesday's game against the Red Sox.

      Advice: Siri has now started in four of the Rays' last five games and may have taken back primary duties in center field from Jonny DeLuca. Though Siri brings good defense in center field, his hold on a regular gig may still be tenuous, as he's provided little production at the plate this season (.244 wOBA, 60 wRC+ in 120 plate appearances).       Tanner Scott navigated a scoreless ninth inning on Wednesday against the Tigers to record his fifth save of the season.

      Advice: Scott was summoned to protect a two-run lead in the final frame and immediately made things interesting, per usual, giving up back-to-back two-out singles to Javier Báez and Carson Kelly, respectively, before striking out pinch-hitter Riley Greene to end the contest. The 29-year-old lefty has walked a proverbial tightrope this season, managing to convert five of six save opportunities this season despite a troublesome 19/17 K/BB ratio across 18 innings of work.       Trea Turner (hamstring) took ground balls and did some agility drills on the field on Wednesday without any issue.

      Advice: Turner told reporters after landing on the injured list in early May that he would miss at least six weeks with his left hamstring strain.       Velazquez is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mariners.

      Advice: Velazquez hasn't fully regained an everyday role yet, but he started each of the last four games (two against right-handers, two against left-handers) and is in the midst of a five-game hitting streak in which he's slashed .375/.412/.625. Even so, Velazquez will find himself as the odd man out of the lineup Wednesday while the Royals give Salvador Perez a day off behind the plate while keeping his bat in the starting nine at DH.       Scott (2-4) picked up the win in Tuesday's extra-inning victory over the Tigers, giving up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning. He struck out two.

      Advice: Rather than being held back for a possible save situation in extra innings on the road, Scott got the call in the ninth with the score tied 0-0 and was able to escape the jam he created. The southpaw hasn't allowed an earned run in 10 straight appearances, but Scott's been far from sharp during that time, posting an 11:7 K:BB in 9.1 innings. That's still an improvement on his early-season performance, and his 2.12 ERA on the year isn't supported by his 1.53 WHIP or 18:17 K:BB in 17 frames. Scott is still the Marlins' closer and has converted four of five save chances, but A.J.       Arozarena went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Red Sox.

      Advice: Arozarena slugged his eighth home run of the season and fifth in his last 11 games. He's also stolen three bags in that span. While his counting stats have been trending positively, Arozarena has still struck out at a 31.5 percent clip in May, leading to a .205 batting average for the month.       Cease (5-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Rockies, allowing three runs on five hits and a walk while striking out eight over 5.2 innings.

      Advice: Cease blanked the Rockies through three before Ryan McMahon took him deep to lead off the fourth. He then ran into some trouble in the sixth, allowing an additional run before being pulled with two outs in the inning and being charged with a third run before the frame concluded. It was just the second time this year Cease has failed to complete six innings and his first since his season debut. The strikeouts continue to pile up, as he's punched out at least eight in four of his last five starts and is second in the majors with 68 over 55 innings.       Civale came away with a no-decision in Tuesday's 5-4 extra-innings loss to the Red Sox, giving up three runs on five hits over five innings. He struck out six without walking a batter.

      Advice: The right-hander kept Boston off the board his first time through the order, but a two-run double by Dominic Smith in the fourth inning and a solo shot by Ceddanne Rafaela in the fifth sent Civale packing after 76 pitches (53 strikes). He's failed to last more than five innings in any of his last five starts, a stretch in which he's stumbled to an 8.87 ERA and 1.71 WHIP, and his rotation spot could be in jeopardy if he doesn't turn things around by the time Ryan Pepiot (leg) and Shane Baz (elbow) are ready to rejoin the team.
