    • Dodgers place Jason Heyward (knee) on IL
Dodgers placed OF Jason Heyward on the 10-day injured list with a left knee contusion.

Advice: Heyward underwent a precautionary MRI exam on Friday that showed his meniscus and ligaments are intact, but the Dodgers still thought it was best to allow him a couple of weeks to heal up. James Outman was recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City in a corresponding move on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 4:15 pm

    • Returning from IL
Campusano (thumb) will be activated from the 10-day injured list Friday, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano has been on the injured list since June 22 due to a left thumb injury and has played four rehab games with Single-A Lake Elsinore, during which he went 2-for-15 with a homer and four RBI. The 25-year-old backstop said he will resume catching for the Padres on Sunday, per Jeff Sanders of The San Diego Union-Tribune, at which point he should take over for Kyle Higashioka as the Friars' primary backstop. Campusano has slashed .234/.282/.371 across 220 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Today, 3:37 pm
    • Brewers outright Owen Miller to Triple-A Nashville
Brewers sent INF/OF Owen Miller outright to Triple-A Nashville.

Advice: The versatile 27-year-old was removed from the team’s 40-man roster on Monday to make room for Garrett Mitchell. He passed through waivers unclaimed though and will continue to function as extra depth for the Brewers at the Triple-A level. Rotoworld Today, 3:09 pm

    • Tigers officially recall Parker Meadows on Friday
Tigers recalled OF Parker Meadows from Triple-A Toledo.

Advice: As expected, the dynamic 24-year-old outfielder will rejoin the big-league club after spending nearly two months refining his approach at the plate at Triple-A Toledo. He’ll start in center field and bat eighth against Carson Spiers and the Reds on Friday evening in Cincinnati. Prior to his demotion, Meadows was slashing a cringe-inducing .096/.224/.219 with two homers, three RBI, three stolen bases and a 32/11 K/BB ratio over 85 plate appearances. • Back in big leagues
The Tigers recalled Meadows from Triple-A Toledo on Friday.

Advice: Meadows was the Tigers' Opening Day center fielder but was sent down in early May after going just 7-for-73 at the plate. He got on track at Toledo to earn another chance, producing a .298/.394/.511 batting line with eight home runs and 19 stolen bases. Meadows also struck out at just a 19 percent rate with Toledo after he had fanned at a 37.7 percent clip earlier this year with the Tigers. He should operate as Detroit's regular center fielder at least against right-handed pitching. Rotowire.com Today, 2:02 pm

    • Tigers to call up OF Parker Meadows
Tigers are calling up OF Parker Meadows from Triple-A, according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.

Advice: Meadows struggled mightily with the Tigers earlier this year. He hit .096 with two home runs in 32 games with Detroit. Meadows hit .298 with eight home runs and 19 stolen bases in 47 games with Triple-A Toledo. The average could continue to be a problem, but if he can just get on base he should be a good source of steals. Rotoworld Today, 8:11 am

    • Set to be recalled
The Tigers will recall Meadows from Triple-A Toledo prior to Friday's game against the Reds, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Meadows was sent down by the Tigers in early May after putting up a lowly .443 OPS with a 37.7 percent strikeout rate over 32 games. However, he got back on track at Toledo, slashing .298/.394/.511 with eight home runs, 19 stolen bases and just a 19 percent strikeout rate in 47 contests. Meadows will get regular reps at least against right-handed pitching, and while there's no guarantee he'll be better this time around in the majors, his power/speed combo makes him worthy of being added in most fantasy formats. • Belts homer in loss Thursday
Wells went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Wells put the Yankees on the board in the fifth inning with a 423-foot solo blast to center field. Of the backstop's past four hits, three (two homers and a double) have gone for extra bases. Wells continues to split time with Jose Trevino behind the plate -- each catcher has started four times over New York's past eight contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:36 pm

    • Jason Heyward to undergo MRI on left knee
Jason Heyward will get an MRI on Friday after hurting his left knee during Thursday’s game.

Advice: Heyward was hurt on the landing after trying and failing to rob Joc Pederson of a homer. If it’s a significant injury, the Dodgers could recall James Outman to play against right-handers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:31 pm
