    • Initial X-rays come back negative for Corey Seager
      Initial X-rays on the injured left hand/wrist of Corey Seager came back negative for any fractures on Saturday.

      Advice: That doesn’t necessarily mean that the coast is clear, as he’ll still undergo additional testing, but it’s very encouraging to hear that there were no fractures revealed on the initial X-rays. Fantasy managers shouldn’t expect Seager to return to action on Sunday, but it sounds like he was fortunate to have avoided any serious injuries this time. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:25 pm
       
    • X-rays on wrist return negative
      X-rays on Seager's left wrist came back negative after he exited in the fifth inning of Saturday's 6-5 loss to the Orioles when he was hit by a pitch, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports. He'll undergo further evaluation Sunday.

      Advice: Seager went 1-for-2 with a solo home run before his night came to an early end during his third trip to the plate. He looked to be in significant pain when he took a Cade Povich pitch to the wrist, but fortunately, he appears to have avoided any structural damage. Even so, Seager is likely still hurting and shouldn't be expected to return to the lineup for Sunday's series finale in Baltimore.       Seager was hit in the left wrist by a pitch in the fifth inning and immediately exited the game, Jake Rill of MLB.com reports.

      Advice: Seager was in visible pain after being hit in the wrist area and walked straight back to the dugout. Davis Wendzel entered to run for Seager.       Corey Seager was removed from Saturday’s game against the Orioles after being hit by a pitch on his left hand in the fifth inning.

      Advice: On the seventh pitch of his at-bat in the fifth inning, Cade Povich tried to come inside with a 90.5 mph sinker and clipped Seager near his left hand/wrist. Seager immediately retreated to the clubhouse, didn’t make any attempt to stay in the game. He’ll head for X-rays to see if there’s any structural damage.       CJ Abrams went 2-for-3 with a double, a solo home run, a walk and two RBI against the Rays on Saturday.



      Advice: Abrams’ home run was his 13th of the season. He started the game with a home run off Aaron Civale in the first inning. Abrams is hitting .282 with an .852 OPS and 42 RBI on the season.

      Advice: Abrams is back at shortstop and leading off on Saturday after being hit by a pitch twice during Friday’s game -- first on his right arm by an 89 mph cutter in the first inning and then on his left wrist by an 88 mph offering a couple frames later. The positive news here is that X-rays came back negative and the issue didn’t seem to impact the cyst that he’s been dealing with near that left wrist.       Oneil Cruz is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Braves.

      Advice: Despite the presence of lefty Max Fried on the mound for Atlanta in this one, this might be a mental break more than anything for Cruz, who is batting .143 (4-for-28) with two homers and one steal over his last seven games.       Witt went 1-for-3 with two walks, one stolen base and two runs scored in Friday's 10-3 win over the Guardians.

      Advice: Witt previously went 10 games without a steal and hit just .184 (7-for-38) in that span. While that's a rare cold stretch for the shortstop, he salvaged it by knocking five extra-base hits in that period.
