    • Leading off Saturday
Chourio is the DH and batting leadoff for Saturday's game against the Dodgers.

Advice: Chourio hasn't slotted in at leadoff since April 23 and will be making his first career start at DH. The rookie is riding an 11-game hit streak and owns a .251/.300/.397 slash line through 268 plate appearances. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

    • Brooks Lee hits first career homer against Astros
Brooks Lee went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Lee took Hunter Brown deep in the third inning, giving the Twins a six-run lead early in the game. It was Lee’s first career major league home run in his fourth game for the Twins since he was promoted on July 3. The 23-year-old is off to a good start, going 7-for-14 at the plate with six RBI so far. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

    • Hunter Brown struggles against Twins on Saturday
Hunter Brown allowed seven runs with five strikeouts over six innings in a loss to the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: Brown had quite the forgettable day on the mound as he surrendered seven runs to the Twins. The seven runs matched the total runs he’s allowed over his last eight starts combined. Three hits, a hit batter, and a sacrifice fly brought two runs in to score in the first. Minnesota brought three more runs in on four hits and a walk in the second. And Brooks Lee would hit a two-run homer in the third. Brown worked three more scoreless innings before his day was done at 105 pitches. The 25-year-old right-hander will take a 4.48 ERA, 1.39 WHIP, and a 100/36 K/BB ratio across 92 1/3 innings into a start against the Rangers in Houston on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 1:51 pm
    • White Sox plan to limit Garrett Crochet’s workload
White Sox manager Pedro Grifol told reporters Saturday that Garrett Crochet will likely have a limited pitch count in his final start prior to the All-Star break.

Advice: Crochet has been the biggest name floated as a possible trade candidate in the coming weeks and it’s going to take a considerable haul to meet Chicago’s asking price. The 25-year-old southpaw has managed to stay healthy and finally put everything together in a stellar first-half breakthrough, so it doesn’t come as a surprise that the White Sox are going to limit his workload leading up to the trade deadline in a few weeks. • Plates three runs Friday
Merrill went 1-for-4 with a triple and three RBI in a 10-8 win against Arizona on Friday.

Advice: Merrill knocked in San Diego's first run on a groundout in the second inning and added a two-run triple in the fourth. The outfielder also put an end to a streak of three games in which he had struck out multiple times. Despite that recent stretch, punchouts haven't been a problem for Merrill in the majors -- he has a very tolerable 17.0 percent strikeout rate through 323 plate appearances. The rookie is proving to be a capable big-league hitter, slashing .289/.321/.456 with 12 home runs, 46 RBI, 40 runs and 10 stolen bases through 88 games. Rotowire.com Today, 7:27 am

    • Brooks Lee batting ninth on Saturday vs. Astros
Brooks Lee is at designated hitter and batting ninth for Saturday’s game against the Astros.

Advice: Lee is batting .545 (6-for-11) with four RBI in three games since being called up earlier this week from Triple-A St. Paul. The 23-year-old top prospect figures to continue batting near the bottom of Minnesota’s suddenly formidable lineup as he acclimates to everyday life in the big leagues. However, that decision feels temporary, especially if he keeps producing at the dish. He should be rostered in all fantasy formats at this point. The big question for the remainder of the season is whether Lee sticks around once oft-injured offensive force Royce Lewis (groin) is ready to return after the All-Star break. • Doyle hits go-ahead two-run double against Royals
Brenton Doyle hit a go-ahead two-run double to give the Rockies a 4-2 win over the Royals on Friday.

Advice: Doyle turned a 2-2 game into a 4-2 lead with the Rockies with a ground-rule double that scored Aaron Schunk and Ryan McMahon and ultimately gave Colorado the victory. After being one of the worst offensive players in baseball in 2024, Doyle has shocked with a very useable slash of .274/.335/.436, and his .731 OPS is quite the improvement on his .593 mark in 2023. • Kirby Yates perfect in earning 12th save
Kirby Yates earned his 12th save with a perfect ninth Friday versus the Rays.

Advice: Yates struck out two of the three batters he faced in the 3-0 game. With 43 strikeouts and 13 hits allowed in 30 1/3 innings, his ERA stands at 0.89 after 30 appearances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm

    • Second straight poor start
Glasnow allowed five runs on three hits and two walks while striking out seven over six innings in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: All of the damage came in the fourth inning between a Willy Adames RBI single and a Rhys Hoskins grand slam. Glasnow has allowed five runs in back-to-back starts, though he's avoided the loss in both of those outings. For the season, he has a 3.47 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 143:29 K:BB through 109 innings over 18 starts. He's projected to make his next start at Detroit rather than Philadelphia due to the Dodgers inserting Justin Wrobleski into the rotation for a spot start Sunday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:13 pm
