Mattingly indicated that he'd like to use League in the role, saying he'd "really like to see the bullpen get its confidence back and some semblance of order and get the guys in the roles we designed." Jansen has out-pitched League all season until the last few days and is probably the favorite for the job over the long run. The situation is a headache for fantasy owners.

He was asked to intentionally walk Robinson Cano before the O's tabbed Brian Matusz, who allowed an inherited runner to score. Strop's stuff is absolutely lethal, but his post-WBC efforts haven't impressed. The 27-year-old holds a 5.19 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 21 appearances. He's got closer's stuff, but is nowhere close to being trusted in the ninth inning.

Advice: Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch speculates that Sanchez was cleared from the Cardinals' 40-man roster in order to make room for Tyler Lyons. Either way, the Cubs were quick to pounce. The 24-year-old has struggled with his control, but he has a big arm and has displayed the ability to get swings-and-misses at the big league level. He could be a useful bullpen piece for Chicago.

Duke, making his first start of the season as a fill-in for Ross Detwiler (lower back), didn't acquit himself well. Though he kept the ball in the strike zone and only allowed one extra-base hit, San Francisco was fooled by none of the offered slop. Duke will presumably now return to the bullpen, though his 8.84 ERA and 1.80 WHIP may not be long for Washington's roster.

Advice: Cabrera launched a three-run homer in the third inning and a solo shot in the fifth off Derek Holland before he added a third home run late off Tanner Scheppers. The weather conditions at Arlington obviously played a factor, but it was a monster of a performance. Cabrera is currently on track to have a better season than his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He has 11 home runs and leads the American League in batting average (.387), runs (34), and slugging-percentage (.659).

Advice: It marked the sixth time already this season that Cabrera has had at least three hits in a game. It's hard to believe, but he's off to an even better start than he was at this point of the season during his Triple Crown winning campaign in 2012. He'll head into play on Saturday hitting a cool .376/.447/.606 with eight homers and 42 RBI.
