    • Steady in no-decision
Stone allowed a run on six hits and struck out three without walking a batter over five innings Friday versus the Red Sox. He did not factor in the decision.

Advice: Stone was on the hook for a tough-luck loss until Freddie Freeman's grand slam in the eighth inning saved the Dodgers. After allowing eight runs over 7.2 innings across his last two appearances before the All-Star break, this was an encouraging performance from Stone. The right-hander is now at a 3.19 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 79:28 K:BB through 101.2 innings over 18 starts this season. With the Dodgers potentially welcoming back Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) and Tyler Glasnow (back) next week, it's unclear when Stone will start again. The Dodgers open next week with a four-game set at home versus the Giants before traveling to Houston for a three-game series. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:48 pm
    • Gavin Stone allows just solo homer in no-decision
Gavin Stone allowed a run over five innings with no decision Friday against the Red Sox.

Advice: It looked like Stone was going to get a hard-luck loss despite giving up just the one run, as the Dodgers didn’t score a run with him in the game. That changed to a (still disappointing) no decision when Freddie Freeman whalloped a grand slam in the eighth. Stone scuffled towards the end of the first half, but this was a nice reminder of the talent. He gets the Giants on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:53 pm
    • Holds Rockies scoreless
Harrison allowed a hit and four walks over five shutout frames in a no-decision Friday. He struck out six during the loss to Colorado.

Advice: As is often the case, Harrison showed off his potential while struggling to hone his command. Only two Rockies reached scoring position against him and he never faced too heavy of a threat. Harrison has allowed fewer than two runs in six of his 17 starts this year but he's walked at least four on four occasions. The 22-year-old southpaw lowered his ERA to 3.86 with a 79:31 K:BB through 91 innings. Harrison's next outing is lined up to be a road matchup with the Dodgers. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:33 pm
    • Kyle Harrison gives up one hit over five scoreless
Kyle Harrison blanked the Rockies over five scoreless innings but didn’t factor into the decision Friday.

Advice: Harrison allowed just the one hit, but he did issue four walks with 56-of-93 pitches counting for strikes. The southpaw was able to work around those free passes by striking out six in what was mostly a strong effort for the 22-year-old hurler. Unfortunately, the offense didn’t provide much offense and his bullpen blew the lead. Harrison lowers his ERA to 3.86 and will get a chance to lower it more next week, but it’ll be tough with a scheduled start against the Dodgers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:36 pm
    • Matt Waldron turns in another quality start
Matt Waldron scattered six hits and allowed one earned run in six-plus innings on Friday against the Guardians. He struck out five without walking a batter.

Advice: Per usual, Waldron’s knuckleball was dancing in this one. Oddly enough, it was up over two ticks and sat just below 80 MPH. The Guardians could not find a way to square it up as Waldron worked his eighth quality start in 10 chances. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:28 pm
    • Logan O’Hoppe not in Angels’ lineup on Friday
Logan O’Hoppe is not in the Angels’ starting lineup for Friday night’s second half opener against the Athletics.

Advice: The hard-hitting 24-year-old backstop likely would have been in the lineup, but he experienced a flight delay when traveling to Oakland and wasn’t going to arrive until just before game time. He will be active and in uniform, he just won’t be starting on Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:31 pm

    • Not in starting nine
O'Hoppe is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: O'Hoppe isn't in the Angels' lineup for the team's first game coming out of the All-Star break. Lefty-hitting Matt Thaiss will step in behind the plate even with southpaw JP Sears starting for Oakland. O'Hoppe had started in each of the Angels' past 11 games. Per Erica Weston of Bally Sports West, the backstop had travel issues flying back to California following the break, but he's on the ground and is expected to be in uniform Friday off the bench. • Ranger Suárez (back) feeling much improved Friday
Ranger Suárez (back) threw off of flat ground on Wednesday and Friday and said that his back feels much improved.

Advice: Suárez told reporters on Friday, “I feel as healthy as a kid”. He’s still not going to start any of the team’s first three games out of the All-Star break, but it sounds like he could be good to go for one of the first two contests against the Twins to start next week. • Freddy Peralta will start for Brewers on Saturday
Brewers’ manager Pat Murphy announced that Freddy Peralta will start the team’s second half opener against the Twins on Saturday.

Advice: He’ll be followed by Aaron Civale on Sunday. Fantasy managers should plan accordingly. Peralta was effective, if inconsistent, in the first half — registering a 4.11 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and a 130/36 K/BB ratio over 103 innings through hisf first 19 starts. He’ll be opposed by Twins’ right-hander Pablo Lopez on Saturday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:13 pm
